I bought the fatboy, btw my sister keep asking me what is the advantages of the fatboy wireless charging plate other than no nid plug in the wire to the phone. I cant answer well with her question, it seems no nid wire but actually it does. and the charging time is much more longer than wired charging. so what is the points that i can defend myself for the fatboy ???

Fatboy pillow means you just drop it there then it will charge. Yeah, wireless charging is slower than wired. That's why it's overpriced. I would spend more and get a wireless charging stand which has NFC capabilities.

What software you use to update ? Nokia suite keeps giving error ....

I didn't encounter any problems when I update to portico by myself using the Nokia Suite. Have you followed the instructions clearly from WPCentral's article on the DIY? http://bit.ly/ZPBqof

few users in this thread boleh update, so why not..

keep trying..

They will ask for the Visual C redistribute, which they provide the link for the download, but after you install it you have to restart your PC for it to work if not it will just say cannot find the C 2005. That did the trick for me. Remember to check your Control Panel for list of programs. The installed Visual C should be
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
Size = 2.66MB
Version = 8.0.59193

Hi guys, just got my wireless charger from Gurney. They really did mark up the price to RM399 instead of RM309. I was told that the price was increased due to limited stock in Penang. I was furious and said that I wanna report this incident and complain to Nokia Malaysia. The next thing happened is the staff called his boss and then sold it to me at the retailer price.

That is why when you know your rights as a customer, they wouldn't dare to touch you brows.gif . Btw using that excuse is just plain bull**** mad.gif . It's limited in stock because of the price of RM 309-319 is relatively high just for a wireless charger and not many shops will keep stock for it.

Do you guys still have some random reboots after flashing to the 1308 firmware. Because I do. Last time my phone hang when I'm browsing in the Microsoft FB app and I did a soft reset and no more hang; also had quite a number of random reboots and the device was hot during the reboot. This time my phone also reboot and the device is hot, usually when I'm on data network with Wifi is off, while I'm using Viber/Whatsapp.
