QUOTE(singwei @ Mar 13 2013, 03:28 PM)
The problem I think is with Nokia Malaysia.
I even wrote a email to Nokia CEO. Subsequently Nokia Global Support was trying to make a arrangement for me to have my phone update to Portico in Nokia Centre PJ. However, I am too busy to go Nokia PJ.
I even asked Nokia Global Support the release date of Portico via OTA in Malaysia. Unfortunately, they don't know the date.

Now we only need to wait and wait, wait, wait, wait, wait Snail Nokia Malaysia to release the OTA update.
*
I see... so it means Nokia Malaysia already has the updates but just reluctant to deliver it to us? What's wrong with them? I hope they won't use this updates as the GE13 excuse to vote for BN... imagine Najib says "Vote BN or else you won't get your Porticos!!" cool2.gif

LOL just kidding.... Hopefully this won't hurt Najib/BN supporter if there is any...

Anybody had their phone update in Nokia Centre?
After update, do I need to re-download all the app, and re-arrange/configure all the Tiles setting on main screen?

Definitely not portico because portico is the 10211 version. As for what batch, I don't believe so.

I use bluetooth a lot nowadays, the 920's BT is awesome... rclxms.gif It detects my laptop and auto connect to voice and music; my older symbian, android phones, laptop keep reject only ==; Dunno if it has something to do with security/firewall.. hmm.gif

And ya, i lazy pull in pull our cable, i transfer music and photo by bluetooth also. As long not digitally copyrighted, can transfer. So far for music, mp3 and m4a works. thumbup.gif

i set Sportsmode as default camera picture.
more sharp looking image.

because the lumia 920 tends to use longer shutter speed even for daylight picture.

so, we tipu abit la, use sportsmode, to tell the phone use faster shutterspeed

dammit, i think there is something wrong with the phone autofocus system, no matter how still i hold the phone, still makes the picture blurry..

i think the lens is still "moving" when the phone actually snaps the image, thats why picture come out blurry..

so, apps that can do manual focus should take picture better..

no, i mean even if using touch screen or button, it still come out blurry.

i think the camera mechanism itself is stupid..
i assume, when we take a picture,

1. we snap the picture
2. focus (lens is moving)
3. light enters the sensor
4. after finish then only lens should retract to default position

but for this phone, i think

1. we snap the picture
2. focus (lens is moving)
3. light enters the sensor
4. the lens already retract to default position BEFORE actual process of image capture done/finish

thats why always blurry

i think nokia wants to show how fast the phone is ready for the next picture.. doh.gif
