different people have different views. im a nokia fan before , i am still using my nokia 5800 till now and im happy with its battery stamina and overall performance as i consider myself as a moderate user.

but when nokia goes into windows mobile from symbian, thats when i stop using nokia anymore. i hate the tiles as it looks not so stylish seriously.

as i mentioned diff ppl have diff views, market for smartphone is still way to go

ARRR..............can't update to portico with NSU!!! After I start the update, my phone reset then hang there....then it will say installation fail. Even beginning it says "device battery reading failed"

My Lumia 920 was stolen on 15th March. I have reported to Nokia to block the IMEI in case anyone tries to claim for warranty or anything like that.

Most distinct about my stolen phone is that, its GREY. I mentioned and posted picture of my phone before here if some of you might recall.

I changed my housing to GREY at Amcorp Mall. I am not sure how many of you have done so, but i guess im may be the only one at the moment. If you notice anywhere selling second hand GREY Lumia 920, kindly let me know please.

Also my phone has GREY Rock Case with it.There is a particular tiny scratch mark at the edge on the top front if you want to be sure.

Yes it does. If you back up the device locally via iTunes, it saves EVERYTHING. And it also does not overwrite the previous backup so if you backed it up manually, the backup file will be time stamped so you can choose whatever backup you want to restore to (last month's, last week's, yesterday's). All APP DATA (any app data and game saves) will be backed up as well so when you restore the phone, it will be restored and once you restore the apps (using either the store or using iTunes), the game saves and app data will automatically be associated with the restored app.

Now why can't MS do the same thing?

I have absolutely no issues with them wanting us to backed it up to the cloud but the thing is, they don't even let us back everything to the cloud. If they allow us to back our game saves, camera roll (restored back to our camera roll etc) and app data to the cloud, at least I'll only be ranting about the stupidity of having to wait 2 days to get my 20GB of data downloaded back to the phone ....

Bitter taste in my mouth right now about this backup thing ..... losing data is my main OCD, so a bit pissed at the moment about losing the whatsapp messages and the videos.

How did you manage to do that? I religiously backed up my whatsapp messages (I have a lot of groups) and the only time it worked for me was when I accidently deleted a group and the messages. I search the web and whatsapp told me to uninstall and re-install the app and I managed to get those groups and messages back when I re-install the app (it says there is a backup available).

Now when I flashed to 1308 from portico, it automatically installed whatsapp but I only see the groups but the messages inside the groups were gone and no matter what I do, I was unabled to restore those messages .... thus the rant 

Sh1t ... whatsapp was the app that didn't have any trouble restoring .... damn .....so I guess the trick is to not restore the apps setting and redownload the apps one by one .......

It's gotta be with a card from a bank that lets you buy stuff online. Afaik dogshit Maybank debit VISA got problem with that. Call customer service they also dunno what paypal is. So useless bolehland support. I use CIMB's prepaid mastercard for online transactions through Steam/Blizzard/Amazon.

Guys, last Saturday bought L920 white for my wife...updated to 1308 firmware using NSU...

however, the phone now always non responsive, like sometime, screen not responding, have to press the lock button, leave it for 5-6 secs and then,it will be responsive again. Then, while browsing Facebook, when the phone got any notification, it will hang again..any idea how to fix this? Or should I send to Nokia Care in Plaza Berjaya?

I managed to download HERE Drive+ Beta using QR code link. Haven't tested it yet though but as compared to Google Maps I feel the Nokia map is a bit lacking in terms of POIs.

I'll check out Weave Waiting for the latest update via OTA (mine a Singapore set) but tempted to flash it myself!

EDIT:

Oh, one more thing. Why is my 'Find My Phone' always appear as 'off' although I have turned it on? No luck finding my phone either from windowsphone.com. Any of you guys managed to get this to work?
