Yea... the one after Portico. GDR2. Just restoring all my apps.... So far haven't notice any performance bump and haven't tested the camera...
Apparently the Display+Touch function that let us customize the Theme colour ourself is not available for this firmware. Good thing is Storage Check rclxms.gif

Most of the companies that are providing smartphones allowance for their employees are encouraging them to use Lumia due to it is built in with Office 365 which support cloud computing as a lot companies now are utilizing it. As a work phone it is actually doing very well.

Ya, thats true.  rclxub.gif  My game progresses... and i mind app reinstall because of the hassle - have to restart the phone everytime i change region... and have to repeat that 3 times just to reinstall the shitload of apps i have...
Asphalt 7 where can fast fast finish ah, yes, can, but have to spend $$ like a boss to proceed faster by levelling up and gaining stars, freemium style. No thx.  shakehead.gif

Asphalt 7 game progress will be backup online if you got connect to the Asphalt Tracker. After reinstalled just connect back to the Asphalt Tracker again and the game progress will be restored!

The picture quality and colour balance for GDR2 indeed improved from the previous Portico update.
Last nite I compared a same capture photo side by side with 2 Lumia 920, one with Portico, another one with GDR2. Certainly there's more details and more accurate colour balance.
But I forgot to save that picture up before I flashed that unit to GDR2 as well...

For me i used the Proshot to avoid for minimise the potential of getting blurry images but color balance is a problem indoors. ==; My campus room uses fluorescent lights but my room isnt very bright; When i look into the screen while the camera is on everything looks bluish, as if the color balance went to incandescent or something when it is on auto, especially when i try to take a bit of photos at darker areas' for the same lowly lit room, if i change to yellow/warm white light the photos becomes a bit yellow. The camera cant handle artificial lighting well and gets influenced by it. In terms of color balance my N8 is a lot better. That xenon flash is awesome.
*
Yup... previously the colour balance of 920 at indoor was surely a headache for me. No doubt my N8 can take better picture that 920 at indoor lighting. At least now I am quite satisfied with the GDR2 fixes on the camera.

Weather apps look really nice art 1st,  the apps will drain your battery too.
*
For me, I set my location manually and turn off Location for the weather app, so it won't keep polling for my location which is draining the battery.
Been using Weather Flow since I got my phone. But I think Amazing Weather HD got more info and functions compared with Weather Flow which is more expensive.

1308 is GDR2. Portico did improved in the sharpness a bit and correct the colour balance a bit, but still not good. GDR2 for me now is considered okay. If you are comparing the picture taken using the built in photo gallery, then for sure you can't see the different. Try viewing in computer or using HD Photo Viewer app. As discussed before in this thread, the built in photo gallery actually compressed the image to let it use less resources for faster response.

There's no such settings in WP8. It is available for WP7 and 7.5 though....

im still 1232.5951.1249.1007 because GDR2 is BETA.  1 of my friends update to GDR2 last night , camera improve alot picture are more sharp but touch responsiveness abit lag.  whistling.gif

I don't think the current GDR2 is beta anymore. As it is been available for wide range of product codes and region as of now. 2 weeks ago, Yes.... it is still beta... For GDR2 beta, the version number is preceded by BETA behind it.
For GDR2 BETA, there's still "Lumia color profile" option in the Display+Touch. As for the current GDR2, that option is removed.
As of now I got 2 phones running on GDR2 doesn't have any problem. Perhaps the changelogs is saying that it suppose to improves the phone responsiveness and stability as well.
It might be some of the 3rd party apps are making the OS behaving weirdly... hmm.gif
