The picture quality and colour balance for GDR2 indeed improved from the previous Portico update.
Last nite I compared a same capture photo side by side with 2 Lumia 920, one with Portico, another one with GDR2. Certainly there's more details and more accurate colour balance.
But I forgot to save that picture up before I flashed that unit to GDR2 as well...

For me i used the Proshot to avoid for minimise the potential of getting blurry images but color balance is a problem indoors. ==; My campus room uses fluorescent lights but my room isnt very bright; When i look into the screen while the camera is on everything looks bluish, as if the color balance went to incandescent or something when it is on auto, especially when i try to take a bit of photos at darker areas' for the same lowly lit room, if i change to yellow/warm white light the photos becomes a bit yellow. The camera cant handle artificial lighting well and gets influenced by it. In terms of color balance my N8 is a lot better. That xenon flash is awesome.

Yup... previously the colour balance of 920 at indoor was surely a headache for me. No doubt my N8 can take better picture that 920 at indoor lighting. At least now I am quite satisfied with the GDR2 fixes on the camera.

guys,

as we know, we have 920 battery issue. the battery can drain very fast in no time (depends on the usage).

so i want to ask, can i just use BB charger with 0.75A (iinm) to charge my phone? got any side effects? just for temporary use before i buy another Nokia charger to put at my office.

If the power input is same i guess can - if u r going to use BB charger and it can charge 920, then that it means it uses microUSB charging, and BB's phones have small batteries as far as i know so i dont think the power source wil be too high; i used my 920's charger (the head adaptor that use AC power) to charge my N8 (lazy to carry so many chargers) since N8 can charge by USB also, but i think the power input for my 920's charger is higher when on AC power. Not to mention N8 only 1300mAh...

As long as it's a charger with micro USB connector will work but depending on amp will determine how fast can charge your phone. Not very sure if anything below 1A can charge our phone also but don't worry, won't have side effects.

I myself am using my Nexus 7 charger (output 2A) to charge my L920 & Nexus 7. No side effect except it charges my L920 so darn fast. Too troublesome to carry 2 chargers laugh.gif
