Haiz, a lot to update liao, the maps, drive...
Off topic, a bit,,, i saw the Lumia 520 at USD $184, that means most likely in M'sia only RM 600. Makes me think that anyone who buys a RM 600 android phone is an idiot... You cant get that kind of specs and lag free experience for that kind of price for Androids. |

Nokia doesn't usually announce anything big at the MWC, they usually like to have their own floor rather than the 15 minutes of news coverage at the MWC. News cycle moves so fast now so they need maximum coverage for their premium phones. MWC cover the whole gamut so, publicity wise, not so much.

But i think Nokia considered that phone as a niche device for geeks, not a high end or flagship. |

September is the best because MS updates their WP OS in June, so phones that announced in September usually with the new OS already. |

QUOTE(rogrog @ Feb 25 2013, 06:36 PM) I bet these people dunno cheap phones and expensive phones have different specs. All they know is the obvious hardware - screen size, camera, screen quality, amount of space, things like that. Many people who dont have knowledge in smartphones will just ask friend or shop to recommend, given the budget price. And, 80% of shop owners recommend a samsung. |

QUOTE(skyline100 @ Feb 25 2013, 06:40 PM) Yes that's really one of the reason. I think Nokia needs 2 flagships a year, just like for HTC - One X and Butterfly; Samsung - Galaxy S3 and Note 2. September is the best because MS updates their WP OS in June, so phones that announced in September usually with the new OS already. I dont like this actually, phones become outdated too fast, but it's needed to stay relevant in marketshare. But as long WP doesnt support 1080p yet Nokia cant make phablets. But they can differentiate by cameras - a slim flagship with no more than 12Mp Cam to keep it slim, and another one with giant hump - camera. Make the release of these 2 flagships 6 months apart. In android, not evrybody likes a giant screen over 5'. In Nokia's case, they give consumers a choice of a good all-rounder flagship that is slim, or a thicker one with focus to camera. Even my dad used my Nokia 808 Pureview he was impressed of the camera the flash bright up the entire area even his crappy iphone 5 cant do it. Alot ppl dont mind the hump due to the performance but dead OS nobody willing to invest This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Feb 25 2013, 07:52 PM |

Whatsapp is just lucky that they are the pioneer in smartphone messaging, so they got many users now. Many people will move to Line/Wechat when it start to charge. |
