i feel that gameplay on both console is the same, difference is on the graphics side....
like this...to save your energy, never throw big punches almost all the time, play around with few jabs to test the AI movements.
AI that does a lot of blocking towards the head, mix ur punches or jabs on the torso...that will do little damage and AI will start to block its torso, so u jab the face and vice versa....
AI that always pull away by meaning not blocking but always elak2 one, try to mix your stance, either in parallel(same as AI stance) or exact opposite (forgot stance name)...you have to move around to find weak spots, mostly at the jaw...but beware, this type of AI is quick in counter, always keep ur head and guard up, dont rush in the attack as this will consume a lot of your fighter's energy....
punching tips...
start with few jabs using the arm thats in parallel of your feet, depending on the stance that u use, than a hard puch using the opposite arm...
haymaker need to be used carefully, opening on AI side doesn't mean your haymaker will land....be very precise for throwing haymaker towards the AI fighter...
one more thing, this requires a lot of skill which i'm still in need of it...do you ever realise that the AI fighter can throw a lot of punches that doesn't cost its energy loss? its energy / stamina level is at full and bright/blinking...this allows it to throw hard punches towards your fighter for a brief moment..you can do this...several ways to do this is by countering a punch from the AI fighter instantly after you block its punches...a successful block and counter will reward you this....the other way is that the moment before the KO punch...before you're going down on the mat, that brief moment before the finishing blow, grab your opponent...i forgot the term used for that move but this will help you get back on your feet, with sufficient energy to land a devastating blow towards you opponent...
hope this will help you in all your fights...as for me, my fighter is the defending champ..hehehe...
one more thing, try mixing punches with uppercuts as well, an injured AI will be more careful in throwing punches, yet will block a lot....always attack the injured bodyparts...
finally, keep your guard up, challenge your AI mentality by mixing your moves...a good defense in a good offense...
good luck....hope this help your gameplay...
