He/she was "selling" his/her V3.

Both parties (me and him/her) agreed to do COD at KLCC yesterday (31st March 2006) at 2pm. I went there with my friend. Was raining over at my place so I had transport difficulties, so I messaged him/her and said that I'll be reaching there at 2:30pm.

2:25pm- He/she messaged me and said that he/she's already there

2:35pm- Reached there and messaged him/her.

Waited for about 10 mins, no replies, I called him/her. He picked up the phone, and I couldn't hear him/her, as his/her background was very noisy.

The he/she texted me, asking me whether I came alone, and what mobile phone I was using.

Replied him that I went with a friend and told him what mobile phone I was using.

The next reply I got from him/her was disappointing.



Will upload a picture of the message when I get a camera.

Point(s) to ponder: What was his motive? Does it matter if I went there alone or with friends? Does it matter what phone I was using? I sense a criminal thing going on here, so beware of this fella.

Well, also something that everyone can learn here.

Whenever you are going to do a COD with someone, don't go alone and try to bring at least a friend along.
And do your COD in a brighly-lit place with a decent crowd.

OT here: If the seller is sincere and honest, will he felt threaten if the buyer bring a bunch of friends there during COD session?

As it is, it is better for both seller and buyer to bring their friends when doing a COD.
This is because like in the above case, if a robbery were to happen, it could happen from buyer to seller as well, not just seller to buyer.

but maybe he takut u rob him ??

Probability is so high that this guy may rob you of your belongings since he asked this weird questions : alone or not & what phone you're using.

DFlo might be very lucky that the deal is not done because it might turned out to be a robbery.

Changes of weather and difficulties in getting transport may serve as a guidance/omen to prevent bad things from happen.Though might sounds superstitous,but at least look at the bright side.

I don't think sellers will feel threatened to see a buyer with another friend. If the buyer bring a gang (more than one) then yeah, he might feel threatened.

Thank bro. Anyways, yeah, in some ways, it's a good thing that the "deal" never took place. Else I'd be in deep sh!t.

I don't expect anyone to help me if something (robbery etc.) actually happens. It's a big risk for them to help me, they might just get themselves hurt (maybe even killed)! Seriously, if I were to witness a robbery scene, I doubt that I will go and help instantly, unless I have like a bunch of friends behind my back.
