I just called back to my hometown in Ipoh (TM Fixed line) and spoke more than 1 minutes. No drop call... I don't remember having drop calls (Calling and receiving)..
Is it you guys are referring calling to different operator than TM?? |

This is for Maxis FTTH users who modded their setup to run voip direct from the 850a instead of the Thomson/Technicolor router. You are referring to a Unifi service? For TM Unifi, the default is voip from the 850a, so should be no problem of course...

Direct Internet dialing (PPPoE) from the HG850a
firstly go to basic > wan then click new at the right upper side tick enable choose "INRERNET" from service list VLAN ID put 500 then IPGETMODE to PPPoE type in the unifi PPPoE login id & password .. APPLY! THEN, head on to Basic > LAN tick LAN 1,2,3 ( Layer 3 ) then click apply U ARE GOOD TO GO plug into any of the LAN 1,2,3 and internet pops out [EDIT] If it doesn't working, go to Advanced > Route and tick the default route , and choose "2_R_VID_500" from the drop down menu and click apply~ [/EDIT] This post has been edited by chengsiong: Mar 30 2013, 11:49 AM |

Maybe these settings can solve the VoIP drop call of maxis ftth. Thanks in advance. |

For those who can't access through telnet or screwed up. Your last option is to use serial. However i will not be held responsible for any damages done. And please do note that you are voiding your warranty by doing so.
You need a serial port. I used this http://cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode...nverter%20V2011 Change voltage of UART to 3.3v. ![]() Connect TXD on HG850a to UART RXD, RXD to TXD(UART) and GND to GND. Open putty change to serial. Change to the proper COM port. (Check it in the device manager ) Baud rate: 115200 If everything is successful, you will be able to read the "English" printed from the device and be able to type. Wait until you see the word "Login:" then follow the original instruction And once again, I will not be held responsible for any damages/bricked device/injuries or anything bad that happens.
