QUOTE(kevintth @ Feb 24 2013, 01:25 PM) To nehalem176 To answer your question, YES it is possible if you're NOT using email client especially PUSH, facebook app, fancy widget or any related automatic sync application. Use Greenify *ROOT* user friendly interface to hibernate certain applicationA random question, is it possible to get 100% or 99% deep sleep time not in airplane mode, just standby mode? LOL... QUOTE(keeycheng @ Feb 26 2013, 07:49 AM) nehalem176bro, will notification LED cause some weird wake lock? Not a major wakelock, if you rooted, under alarm section in bbs dumpfile you will see alarm wakeup for LED notification. From your dumpfile, below wakelock need to be reduced.sorry forget to set custom before sleep yesterday, will do it tonight,,,, edit: Bro, i attach the bbs if you need it... will do a idle 1 tonight.[attachmentid=3321421] AudioOut_2 (1013): 2 m 39 s (159 s) Count:29 0.5% SyncLoopWakeLock (Android System): 1 m 45 s (105 s) Count:936 0.3% *sync*_com.android.contacts_Account {name=EM, type=com.google} (Google Services): 31 s (31 s) Count:35 0.1% "wlan_rx_wake" (): 35 m 41 s (2141 s) Cnt:(c/wc/ec)1335/0/1335 3.9% 1. Go to Viber setting and check 'use system sounds' 2. Go to whatsapp>setting>contact>untick show all contacts 3. Disable google account sync. Make it manual sync if you can live with that. 4. Assign static ip in router setting for your note 2 and disable ipv6. (don't ask me how to do this. Router setting may be vary) This post has been edited by nehalem176: Feb 26 2013, 09:59 AM |

QUOTE(keeycheng @ Feb 26 2013, 10:05 AM) 1st and 2nd is done... Push quite battery drainer. if possible use pop3 and manual sync your email. with your current apps like IM and email client, imo your wakelock is acceptable, 4% dropped. will try to disable google... but in Android is there anything like not enable sync option, but when there is a mail, gmail will push it to our phone? or this is how it work all the time? Coz my fren using WP8 told me that he disable sync, but when got new mail will automatic push to his phone.. @@ option 4 no problem. Will do that.. this is easy...lol QUOTE(brijesh.ratnani @ Feb 26 2013, 10:10 AM) Bro the 4 steps you mentioned above. answer in boldMay I know what is it for ? Correct me if I am wrong 1) To use back same sound notfication as the phone's dfault Viber known issue. temporary workaround to reduce AudioOut_2 wakelock 2) Won't show contacts that are not using whatsapp ? Nope, contact still shown but to reduce auto sync whatsapp for your contact. Enable when necessary. This suggestion to reduce his SyncLoopWakeLock 3) Reduce regular sync will save battery Depend on your usage 4) Too pro for me. haha |

QUOTE(keeycheng @ Feb 26 2013, 10:32 AM) Hmm, manual sync? You can try alternative solution, remove your current email account. Clear data+cache on Exchange Services and Email, then re-add the account, poll interval of 1 hour, don't auto download attachments. Will make your email wakelock a bit more 'reasonable' will try that later... actually it isnt 4% i think... coz i plug off from the charger before i sleep , which is 100%, and it drop to 80% i think... not sure y the log wrote that.. but will try again tonight and post the BBS again.... Thx bro again.. |

QUOTE(kevintth @ Feb 26 2013, 11:12 AM) nehalem176 bro, need to ask u one thing, what is deleted_wake_locks? it appears when screen is off... check with google, it is something like wifi issues… but what does wifi to do with this wakelock? Imo yes, it is related to wifi. Try and error by delete some left over folder/data from your previous uninstalled program. Iinm, got other member here said that it is related to previous uninstalled app. You can try this app to easily track back your left over folder/data: Storage AnalyzerQUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 26 2013, 11:21 AM) I itchy hand and followed your instruction up there except for option 4 because I'm not at home now. Guess what? My phone went awake all the time without me noticing, straight one blue bar. Not sure which is the culprit now, restored back option 1... Will try one by one. QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 26 2013, 11:34 AM) nehalem176 looks like the Viber settings need to uncheck and not checked. Immediately after I unchecked it again, the "awake" bar disappeared. By default, it is already unchecked. QUOTE(joytest @ Feb 26 2013, 11:40 AM) Oh you mean Viber>Settings>Use Systems Sounds - leave unchecked? I'm suggesting to check 'use system sound' according to this XDA member posted. HEREThis means the default Viber sounds will be used? Awww that sucks. QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 26 2013, 11:41 AM) Mine is because I went and tried nehalem176's suggested option on Viber, it seems it didn't work well but worsened my situation. It worked with unrooted device. Just can't see alarm and network stats triggered in dumpfile. It is best to use BBS with rooted device since certain wakelock need root priviledge to reduce it Now looks pretty normal to me. I think BBS only works with rooted phones. QUOTE(suntzulee @ Feb 26 2013, 12:08 PM) nehalem176bro, em/android & gtalk_sync are from which app? Which to uninstall using TiBu? I already uninstall talk back but these 2 still there... In your case, gtalk_sync wakelock you can't totaly disable it unless you disable GSF service checkin in autostarts app. already sent pm for screenshot which GSF can be disable in autostarts app. Talk back just disable in application manager. 4.1.2 can disable system app EDIT: Devilish Post No. = 666 This post has been edited by nehalem176: Feb 26 2013, 12:58 PM |

Previously I don't have media server eating my battery. Now it is. The most unique is, my last charge was from morning 9am. It only shows 2 hours usage where else it's actually more than 4 hours to now. I don't use swiftkey app @nehalem176 any advice? |
