This was being done during the iP3/3G era but only when the bezel was scratched badly that it required this 'drastic' course of action. Done it before and it did look quite nice.

I was on it for about only 2-3 days
i believe you need to just factory reset before moving ROMs, just in case.

make sure you do a nandroid back up + TB back up beforehand, just in case.

wipe cache, wipe dalvik too!

AllianceROM = TW based i think so its better to do full wipe

just afraid if just doing typical wipes, there would be negative impact from the different TW and AOSP frameworks

ROMOW and Alliance are both TW based, if you can flash one meaning there isn't much problem then (did you check for gibberish messed up apps that FC? if no then u are safe)

between roms, sometimes i do full wipe too. you can't be too safe ^___^

means from my experience:
1. contacts : all numbers and no names
    solution : export to sd card, delete all, restore back the .vcf file
2. waze : unable to load gps and/or network connection and/or stuck at loading screen
    solution : reinstall
3. facebook (and maybe other apps, i only use 30 odd apps) : forced close or FC
    solution : reinstall from Google Play. i tried to restore from TBPro but error (i don't know why)

Bro, actually, based on posts in the last few threads, the parts seem to be:

Screen+Digitizer = 700
Mainboard = 700 (500?)
Bezel = 150

All in about 1500. Throw in battery for 180 (original) and maybe 300 for full internal chassis, you can build one from parts for around 2k.

Can flash through odin. But what's wrong with twrp? I prefer twrp than cwm.

Guys, I'm back after an adventurous journey back to hometown that drained my body's battery.

OK, guess what. I flashed to Emotion Note again, no issue and everything looks good. No more constant awake despite on Nova Launcher + some fancy icons packs.

But, there is this issue which bothers me a lot. (Sign of my phone is dying soon? )
Happened 3 times last night and I kinda give up checking on it.

So what happened was when I flashed my phone via CWM, everything went well and I selected my options based on my preference. It flashed from 0% to 100% and asked me to press "next" to finish my flash. Usually when I press that, it works and will auto boot... This time, it just hanged there, nothing happened and my screen wasn't responsive anymore... I had to take out my battery and put back again, turned on my phone... It straight went into recovery mode which I selected "reboot phone now". Then only it went through. What's the issue ya?
