Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA; /?n'v?di?/ in-vid-ee-?) is an American global technology company based in Santa Clara, California. The company invented the graphics processing unit (GPU) in 1999. GPUs drive the computer graphics in games and in applications used by professional designers. Their parallel processing capabilities provide researchers and scientists with the ability to efficiently run high-performance applications, and they are deployed in supercomputing sites around the world. More recently, Nvidia has moved into the mobile computing market, where its processors power phones and tablets, as well as auto infotainment systems. Its competitors include Intel, AMD and Qualcomm.

The following are the most notable product families produced by Nvidia:
[.] GeForce - the gaming graphics processing products for which Nvidia is best known.
[.] Quadro - computer-aided design and digital content creation workstation graphics processing products.
[.] Tegra - a system on a chip series for mobile devices.
[.] Tesla - dedicated general purpose GPU for high-end image generation applications in professional and scientific fields.
[.] nForce - a motherboard chipset created by nVidia for AMD Athlon and Duron microprocessors.

I was reading the reviews and the benchie figures, and I was like sleep.gif ... hah, it can't even beat the 690, but it keeps up acceptably to it.

Then I realized... TITAN is single GPU! Not that I didn't know, but it is mind boggling that a single GPU can come "close" (10-20fps average loss) to a 690.

And the price point is $999 = 690.

If it was me, I would choose the TITAN over a 690. It is just raw, brute, performance. And the noise levels of the TITAN... just absolutely impressive.

GK110 FTW!

Nvidia says Tri-SLI TITAN is the way to go for a 3-display surround gaming for "Crysis 3" at 5760x1080. My 680 is going to melt real good even at 1080p...

Release Summary
- Improves performance and stability in Tomb Raider.
- Adds new SLI and 3D Vision profiles.
QUOTE
So, in conjunction with a game patch that Crystal Dynamics released earlier today, we recommend that GeForce users update to the just-posted GeForce 314.21 drivers. They’ll provide major gains in reliability and performance in the game – delivering an average of 45% and up to 60% performance improvements (as measured with GeForce GTX 680 at 1920×1080 and 2560×1600 resolutions).

NVIDIA Working on Second GK110-based GeForce Graphics Card for Summer
QUOTE
NVIDIA may decisively hold on to the single-GPU performance lead, with its GeForce GTX Titan graphics card, but at roughly $1000, it could attract a very small market. According to a SweClockers report, NVIDIA is looking to woo gamers just ahead of Summer with the second GK110-based GeForce GTX graphics card.

Similar in specifications to the fabled Quadro K6000, the new SKU could feature 13 out of 15 streaming multiprocessors on the GK110 silicon, working out to 2,496 CUDA cores, 208 texture memory units, a 320-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface holding 5 GB of memory, and 40 ROPs. Given that there's a deep ravine between the ~$450 GeForce GTX 680 and ~$1000 GTX Titan, NVIDIA could pick a price-point in the middle. The report claims the new SKU could launch some time between July and August, 2013.

There's 2 way.
1. You don't uninstall AMD drivers and straight away install nvidia driver.
2. You uninstall all AMD drivers and install nvidia driver.

Graphics Cards to Receive 10-15% Price Increase
6:00 PM - April 7, 2013 by Tarun Iyer - source: DigiTimes
QUOTE
As a result of increases in the cost of DDR3 memory, a number of graphics card vendors have reportedly increased prices by 10 to 15 percent.

According to a report published by DigiTimes, the recent increases in the price of memory has prompted several graphics card vendors to hike the retail price of products using DDR3 memory by 10 to 15 percent. Given that this price increase seems specific to this form of memory, we expect the impact to be restricted to the budget or entry-level market.

DigitTimes' unnamed sources also noted that they believe that prices are unlikely to return to their previous levels in the next six months unless manufacturers decide to offer promotions for specific models or bring forward the release of next-generation graphics cards.

The report further stated that since PC demand is still comparatively weak, the impact will not "upset consumers or channel retails greatly in the same run" and that the "PC replacement trend" that is expected to follow the release of Intel's Haswell platform in June may be compromised by these increased costs and the expected rise of motherboard ASP.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Won't be $500 Cheap: Report
QUOTE
Late last month, we learned that NVIDIA plans to unveil its GeForce GTX 7-series desktop GPU family just a little later this month. According to a new report by SweClockers, the company plans to take full advantage of AMD's lethargy or console-fixation, in launching its next GPU generation much later this year. The premium GeForce GTX 780, which is reportedly based on the GK110 silicon, could command a price much higher than the $499.99 GeForce GTX 680 started out on, when it launched last March.

Pricing of the GeForce GTX 780 could be closer to that of the GeForce GTX TITAN, than today's GTX 680, according to the report. It asks us not to be surprised if the card is priced on-par with the TITAN, making us wonder if TITAN remains NVIDIA's fastest single-GPU graphics card for long, or if NVIDIA is re-branding TITAN to GTX 780, or even if it ends up being the fabled "TITAN Ultra."

NVIDIA Announces the GeForce GTX 780 Graphics Card
QUOTE
NVIDIA announced the GeForce GTX 780, the first addition to its desktop GeForce GTX 700 series. Pictured below, the card is as close as it gets to owning a GeForce GTX TITAN, at two-thirds the price. It's based on the same 28 nm GK110 chip, but configured with 2,304 CUDA cores and 192 TMUs, compared to the 2,688 cores and 224 TMUs of the GTX TITAN. The card retains the 384-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, but holds 3 GB of memory. In that sense, all its key faculties are an exact 50 percent increase over is predecessor, the GeForce GTX 680.

NVIDIA completely recycled the design of GeForce GTX TITAN, down to the PCB and cooler. The only way you can make the two cards out is the lack of memory chips on the GTX 780's back. The card features GPU Boost 2.0, a technology that debuted with the GTX TITAN, boosts clocks and voltage, taking temperatures into account. The GPU core is clocked at 863 MHz, GPU Boost at 900 MHz, and memory at 6.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective). NVIDIA is allowing its partners to launch products with custom design air cooling solutions. Prices should start at $649.99.

GeForce GTX 760 Performance
The $249 GeForce GTX 760 is a performance powerhouse, with specifications that help it power past the GeForce GTX 660 and $299 GeForce GTX 660 Ti. On average, these improved specs give the GTX 760 a 12% lead over the GTX 660 Ti, and a 23% lead over the GTX 660.

Note, this data is generated from reference-design GeForce GTX 760s, whereas the majority of cards on sale today at e-tailers and retailers will be custom versions running factory overclocks out of the box, pushing frame rates even higher.
