But i'm pretty sure S4 will be available here earlier than ONE based on the track record from Samsung compared with HTC.

Samsung has their korean management in Msia for decades while SIS and Bright Star are HTC Distributors... and maybe this is where HTC lack of in terms of stock distribution and marketing support, imho.

I dont think so.

In 2012, HOX vs S3, HOX launch first
In 2011, Sensation vs S2, Sensation launch first

There will be no difference in 2013.

In spite of the above, I dont think Samsung will choose Malaysia over Singapore to launch its first batch of S4.
Most probably, S4 will only arrive during its 2nd batch.

Good news for those in Singapore NOW!!

Real demo units arrived!!!

user posted image

I just molested this phone for 20 mins, now feeling wanted to "rape" this phone... brows.gif brows.gif

What an incredible phone that I have never ever seen on this planet.

Not a single lag in this phone.

Things i tried on this phone:-
- Open camera only needs 0.000001 sec (estimate la...), but the main point is this is the fastest camera launch I have ever seen.
- Blinkfeed is amazing, despite initially wanted to disable it.. after seeing this phone, I will certainly wanted to keep it permanently.
- Played the Real Racing 3 on this phone with BOOMSOUND enabled, WTF... graphics smooth like hell on ultra settings. (Imagine this is only a demo unit and non-rooted phone and has been molested by few hundred ppl before I tested this phone)
- Screen display is unbelievable bright, viewing angles are very good.

What else I can say?...

I think this year will be

Samsung S4 vs HTC One

Indirectly like
Brazil vs Spain

Brazil (Samsung) as the favourites to win the World Cup and Spain (HTC) as the underdogs.

LG, Sony, ZTE, Alcatel just like England, France or Romania kind of teams only.

Before kick-off, like England... many supporters (as one of the top favourites), but during on-field playing... kick like kampung boys and normally tapau early after first round.

I think this time HTC One will win S4.

HTC One Samsung S4
Dual front stereo loud speakers Back single mono speaker
More premium solid build Plastic build
Better designed phone Same S3 looks

The only advantage that S4 might win only removable battery.
8 cores for me is more of a marketing gimmick.

microSD card??? Who needs this since we already have OTG and HTC One is equipped with 32GB?

8 cores is marketing gimmick? its ARM's big.LITTLE architecture lar. not a marketing gimmick bro.

and your statement on microSD is really hilarious. microSD is so small and hidden in the phone. will you carry your OTG + hard disk / pendrive? ahhahahaaaaaa
*
8 cores is not a marketing gimmick? LOL... even Intel hasn't come out 8 cores yet.
Tell me, which apps needs 8 cores to run?

And yes, I do carry a bunch of pendrives with me due to my work..and I can plug directly to my phone to work.
It is damn troublesome to have microSD due to its small size and will easily lost it and then I need to open the plastic back and insert the different microSD and restart the phone again to use it.

Understand?

It's not about which apps needs 8 cores to run. It's about which apps uses which of the 4+4 cores to run and thus helping in energy efficiency and saving juice.

What do you work as? Why carry around a bunch of pendrive when you can store all of them in a 64gb microsd card. Unless your 'work' requires you to use more than 64GB. Use a 64gb microsd card. Stick it in and dont take it out. Problem solved. Buy a microsd 3x3 adapter + OTG. Problem solved if you need more than 64GB. I'm pretty sure you can save more space than carrying a bunch of pendrives around.
*
I work as an outsource consultant and many of times, I have to save/transfer alot of files from client's PC and hence a few pendrives will be useful due to confidentiality instead of saving them into a single microSD card.

When u wanna save files, it is alot easier to use pendrive than microSD.

On the personal side, transferring files like movies using a 3.0 USB pendrive is much more faster than a microSD card.

So, ppl still saying that microSD card is an advantage... if last time, before OTG is born, YES
But now, it's not an advantage anymore as most phones already comes with min 32GB drive.

S4 will be a huge success. with all the marketing budget. sure many people will buy.
i have no problem with plastic phone, but hope their design the phone better in the future.
Even the " UNDESTRUCTABLE NOKIA 3310" also plastic tongue.gif

Dont compare Nokia 3310.

Nokia 3310 is in year 1995. In year 1995, ppl will not complain if phones are made of plastics due to technology constraints as during that time, technology can't produce zero-gap aluminium and weigh just 143g

We are now in 2013, if phones are still in plastics, ppl will complain as ppl expects more quality build phones.

plastic have been proven to be strong and cheap to produce.
Having experience of using a HTC desire S which is made from aluminium, trust me the aluminium body is not durable at all. prone to dent and scratches if its dropped.
Aluminium is gorgeous to see, but need to care properly.

OK waiting drop test HTC One vs S4.
