btw SG will never have high speed train because can never go up to speed. After few minutes, queue for passport stamping?  hmm.gif
*
Passport stamping should be done at Jurong East for both Malaysia/Singapore customs for smooth operation of the HSR, similar to the arrangement for KTM at Tanjong Pagar. It would be silly for trains to have a long stop at tuas or tanjong kupang to get passports stamped.

if build at Putrajaya Sentral, then how "some parties" want to "make profit" by building Tram network  devil.gif
*
You mean Tram connecting HSR station with ERL station? Then the MRT station should also be separated from ERL station for Tram to work.

what I heard is Tram connecting Putrajaya Sentral to HSR station in Sg Merab  innocent.gif
*
Direct distance is about 10KM. The tram is too slow for transit

Looks like all the companies are really lobbying the project..
May the best wins so we can get best system..

HSR is very political. Singapore prefers Japan due to reliability issue and also anti-China. Malaysia prefers China due to cost and dedak. South Korea came in as 3rd option in case both MY and SG can't come to conclusion.

why kiasuland so concern abt HSR? it only bypass 15kms of their land nia...

did they also demand what KTM train made of?
*
I'm sure you know how kiasuland works. They surely have rights to the project eventhough the rail is only 15km in their land

nope

unless tats really insider story from the project team, then i got nothing to say, cause from my personal experience dealing with SG government construction project , they always go for the lowest price one , the quality point scoring method on the pricing is way too heavier than other criteria , and i belip no one can go low price than china

unless china hsr got stupiak and get kick-out from the tender , else no chance other can win
*
The scenarios are different. or construction of building, China contractors are fast yet could produce reasonably good quality. Train is a different ballgame and safety is the priority. In this aspect, Japan has a much better record than China

U say like tat means u r not familiar with tender process
*
I have been in construction industry for 20 years and I have been involved in different types of tenders. Frankly speaking, tender process for many projects in Malaysia is for show or just for price comparison purpose.

What type of industry are you involved?

Senawang to cyberjaya is okay..
Senawang to kl is kinda far..
*
My friend takes 1.5-2 hours 1 way to commute between Seremban 2 and PJ, sometimes by KTM-LRT and sometimes by car. According to him, it is still acceptable as his family could enjoy semi-d and he could also enjoy during weekends

Btw, anyone know what is the alignment of the HSR from Putrajaya to Bandar Malaysia is going to look like yet? Is it going to be underground? if not, where will this HSR pass along the Putrajaya -> Bandar Malaysia route? I for sure dont want my property any near this route. Very noisy.
*
Logically it should follow the current route of KLIA Express

U have ride before??
How was the service & quality of the HSR??
*
I have been ridden the following HSR

1. China HSR Xian from/to Luoyang, 380km per way
2. Taiwan HSR from Tai Chung to Taipei, about 170km
3. Japan Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka to Tokyo, 552km

I would say there are hardly any different in terms of ride quality for the 3 HSR, the 3 HSR also on time. China HSR is travelling at higher speed, just below 300kmh. However, the speed is not so consistent as the speed dropped below 200kmh at certain stretches, whereas speed for Japan bullet train is quite consistent throughout.

ooh good u have ride 3 different HSR  rclxms.gif  thumbsup.gif

so among the 3, which u think is good for Malaysia - Singapore HSR  hmm.gif  unsure.gif
*
Both are suitable, even South Korea's KTX is also suitable for KL-SG HSR. I would say China has advantage due to cost factor, speed of construction and also close relationship with our current government. China HSR is already up to par in terms of safety, and there is no major event after major accident at Wen Zhou in 2011.

Singapore is classified as pro-America anti-China and I'm sure they will exercise their rights in preventing award of HSR contract to China. Award of HSR contract to party other than China will also create a major dent to China's dream of HSR connecting Singapore to Kunming.

So then how??
If either 1 parties don't agree??
*
The project may be suspended until both parties agree or there may be change of plan, e.g. moving Singapore HSR station from Jurong East to Tuas Checkpoint. In that case, Malaysia will have the say
