not much point connect to penang. they wont have reason to use it. they better use flight which is cheaper. they wont need seamless connection because is not business trips. kl to sg hsr is maint for corporate stuff as i think la.

Never says never. I read somewhere Shinkansen links Hokkaido to Tokyo already. One road plus highways one belt plus Bangkok.

dont know what are they thinking, but i think HSR shouldn't just for business...i should be a national transportation plan... cool2.gif

i very skeptical on the hsr la..coz run the numbers...if charge enough to be economically viable no one is going to take it. we dont want another drain on rakyat money. see many hsr arnd the world d is all losing money. need bailout after bailout.

Guys, I think most of you are mistaken in looking at the HSR as purely a long haul trip between KL and SG. In fact, it can be used for short haul, high frequency intra-city(ie outstation within the country) travel, say KL - Melaka and Johor-Singapore as well. It could be workable & profitable. I don't think the ticket prices will be in the hundreds of RM.

my opinion is slightly higher than flight...if lower than flight, Gov can cancel the KL-JB line already brows.gif
