This project is not simple as we all think..
There a lot of stage & evaluation needed.. Thus take time..

No matter how complex, cannot take 10 years to complete ma. I think if its in China and to connect 300km you maybe need 3 years.

Lol even build a condo that less than 1km height need few years, u wanna complete a 300km HSR sytem in 3 yrs

but malaysia,

- Kampung people come out protest say taking their land la, this la that la, then oppo come out kacau also.
- some insider people buy over the land that will be use to earn extra free money,
- some may bring the land case to court la, this la, that la, like what happening in MRT also.


Just land alone already so many issue, 10 years consider fast already.

If cina uses own human resources....i believe 3 yrs can kautim lioa.

This is national project...gov can use complusory acquisition act to buy land at arm lenght transaction.

I believe the delay is more to do with 'wealth distribution' than actual work itself......

Yup. Land related issue is such big headache..
China u see they can even build the project just like that even without taking all the land..

Remembered got one project, the house owner don't want to sell. The gomen build road or house something around the house.. In the end only the house standing there..

Was reading the news about the melaka station..
The CM was mentioning that the actual location of HSR melaka is in Durian Tunggal, alor gajah district & not ayer keroh as reported

Reason why it chosen because HSR requires that should not be major curves within 20km radius from the proposed HSR station site..

I blif they will give priority to Bumi contractors in view of the upcoming GE 14
In addition, tis Bumi contractors will cascade into multiple sub-contractors which will complicate d ntire construction milestone
