News from Sammobile insider.

http://www.sammobile.com/2013/03/15/samsun...heaper-version/

Samsung just want to earn more money by given user cheap material. Haizz....
*
Hmm, how come people have the idea that glass is superior/of higher quality/premium compared to polycarbonate?

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Mar 18 2013, 01:28 PM)
From this sample photo. S 4 image quality seems so so only, not really sharp and clear.

You guys can check out this thread here: Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One - 13MP & Ultrapixel comparison

This: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...32&postcount=22

and what The Verge has to say about HTC One's camera (washed out):

Seriously, if you are a technie geek out there... you will know that Verge's reviews are quite biased.

In other words, its trustworthiness of their reviews is quite questionable.

I would only pick sites like GSMARENA, AndroidCentral, Engadget etc for reviews.
*
Sorry, I never follow The Verge's posts. I refer to GSMArena most of the time. Then we'll have to wait for GSMArena's comparison smile.gif

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Mar 18 2013, 05:03 PM)
I also no idea, I just know back is using bendable plastic which same as note 2 and s3 hmm.gif
*
That's polycarbonate in action

QUOTE(disasternero @ Mar 18 2013, 05:05 PM)
i think the side have metal/aluminium b4 this...
*
No, SIII's sides are also polycarbonate

Good news indeed
Now which to octa or s600?
Haha
*
Need to consider the audio chips in the different versions as well.
Qualcomm S600 - native built-in audio DAC in Krait https://twitter.com/supercurio/status/312378336972242944
Exynos 5 Octa - maybe Wolfson audio DAC (not sure, but possible)

Also, this phone records 1080p@60fps right? Wonder what filesystem it uses..

Maybe TS can include a specs list in the first post. Something like this:

I mentioned this before:

Qualcomm S600 - native built-in audio DAC in Krait https://twitter.com/supercurio/status/312378336972242944
Exynos 5 Octa - WM5102 Wolfson audio DAC (http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/products/audio_hubs/WM5102/)

QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Mar 27 2013, 07:05 AM)
Seems like s4 win against htc one accoding to gsmarena..
*
S4 even wins under screen comparison biggrin.gif People complained about PenTile matrix, oversaturated/inaccurate colours and sunlight legibility of S4's AMOLED screen.

It hurts when GSMArena squash all those with S4's new matrix arrangement (over 400ppi which is not noticeable to the naked eye but some claim it does whistling.gif ), accurate colours due to Adobe RGB and better sunlight legibility.

QUOTE(girl83 @ Mar 27 2013, 11:47 AM)
the value is not accurate in real i dont think so we can achieve that value unless we uninstall all apps etc
*
the good thing is that it's an apple to apple comparison, we know how it performs against other phones

S4 vs IP5 vs One
*
The pic doesn't do justice to those screens, especially S4's.
What they always complain about AMOLED screens:
QUOTE
When it comes to white balance the Galaxy S4 in Film and Adobe RGB modes is closest to the desired 6500K color temperature while the iPhone 5 got about 7250K and the HTC One 8000K, both going for a colder color temperature.
