With greater sales and profits , only the company can spend more money on marketing efforts
Until and unless HTC gets some form of additional financial support to have a greater marketing budget, their sales will be hard to match Samsung. This is what was reported in BusinessInsider:
In September, Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales and marketing at HTC, told us the reason Samsung was kicking his butt was the size of his budget. He told Business Insider's Jay Yarow: "Samsung spent four to six times more in advertising than us." This rings true. You remember all Samsung's ads making fun of iPhone users waiting in line. Anyway, HTC's slogan is "quietly brilliant." Clearly, it shouldn't be so quiet about it.

Most consumers buying decision ( unlike us folks here or in other phone forums in the world  ) are more easily influenced by advertising

camera features - wow. I'm impressed at the innovative features. (correct me if it's not, but it's new to me on phone's stock camera app)
story album - cool.
floating touch / glove touch / floating swipe - impressive. can swipe while eating fries.
built in voice translator - cool but with my malaysian english and malaysian chinese accent, I can't use it.
built in read out messages/ call - cool. I know play store got, but I always prefer stock one.

slightly smaller and thinner than S3, but more screen size + bigger battery size = brilliant!
overall design (hardware and UI) - er.. hope fans here don't bash me. not my type.

But if you don't look at the design, feature is by far the most impressive. It's the second time Samsung impressed me since Galaxy Note II.

I have used the first iphone ( paid a premium of RM 1000 ) , than subsequently all the series till ip5 and till today I still dont understand why the craze over it . I don't feel anything special about it and all these talk of smoothness is just because they do not allow widgets and customization of their homescreens. Allow such stuffs, and all this smoothness talk will stop. And is unimportant - come on , what is the improved  mico second smoothness going to give the user - an orgasm ?? Yes, iphone has more apps . How many apps do one need - a thousand. Even a hundred is hell a lot. Whatever app I want in IOS, I can find same or similar alternative in Android
But the iphone is still a good phone . Only I cannot stand are those users who are forever gloating it and that anyone who doesn't use iphone are not smart as them

I felt nauseated at the control freakery of Apple after some reading shortly after ipr0n launched and never ever want one (unless they change their philosophy)

I agree..The floating touch is cool and it seems like more to a bragging software..as i see that it has a delay..so not really practical..the part where u can scroll by tilting is also nice but i have 1 question. Imagine u are not sitting or not standing steadily, will the screen just scroll itself?

Also,the part where it tracks ur eyeball and pause the video for you when you are not looking is a little extra imo..might eat up more battery juice and it does have a delay according to some hands on video,the lady had to repeat doing the look away from the screen before the video is paused...

Maybe the floating touch is useful when you are eating and dirtied your hand?? then you can still use your phone..

but i think s4 texture is much better.

thats the problem with samsung... they come out with identical design.. s3, note2, s3mini, grand, young etc and now s4 (but i like the "premium finisg at the side phone"..
different with sony, htc that come with more design..

but still samsung support is better..

TRUE,I agree!!! but i would want sony's camera with a mix of htc and samsung camera software as well as post editing software...sony's post rendering sucks as theres a problem with the compression ratio of sony... not to mention sony's waterproof and htc's sound quality...
