Got my 2.0sx almost 2 weeks ago, and realize that the rattling issue on my passenger dashboard is rather annoying....Brand new car, with rattling noise, are you kidding me? dont get me wrong..i luv my ride. but the noise, is such a turn off
i thought the 2013 batch should've rectified this issue already.. Can the SC fix this ? or anyone had overcome it? Appreciate your kind sharing |

QUOTE(izputra @ Mar 27 2013, 10:18 AM) Sorry to hear that bro. The car is really nice but surely that dashboard rattling sound is a turn off. I'm not sure why until now Naza failed to tackle this issue at the production line after so many complaints from the customers. This will tarnish the otherwise a good car. Since this issue is reported among the Forte CKD owner, i believe it got something to do with NazaKia assembly/production at Gurun..we Forte CBU owner dont have such an issue, at least not to my knowledge I guess it is a known issue to Kia Forte & count me unlucky to get a car with rattling issue the dashboard rattle is quite loud & obvious especially going on small bump, pavement or uneven road and it happens lately...not during my first week of driving exp. Not sure where went wrong.. I'll feedback to Naza SC & hopefully can get it fix during my 1k service. |

QUOTE(kraxyash @ Apr 3 2013, 10:58 PM) This is what I know, not all 4L of engine oil will be utilized. The balance usually by process, it will be thrown away. You could also request the balance to be kept and be given back to you for future top up if necessary. Either way, we're paying for the engine oil. I believe 2.0 uses more oil than 1.6, around 4.2l with oil cooler (not sure whether oil cooler is needed?). plan to use Mobil 1 extended performance 5w 20 for my 1st 1000km service. Will try my luck if SC able to let me use oil bought from outside Or the balance engine oil, the mechanics (some of them) would keep it and then sell it out again (sorta like a black market thingy). My brother was working with Perodua as a Service Adviser back then. Told me all the 'smart stories' the mechanics can do. I hope it doesn't happen in KIA's SC. |

Just got back from JNS service centre..
Went there to lodge a complain on dashboard rattle issue. The mechanic take a look, then drive 1 round to identify the noise. Then they try what they can; tighten up some nuts/screw etc..& the rattling noise still wont go after we took a spin.. In the end, they need to submit for warranty claim to open the dashboard. And it takes more than a month to get it done (im the 10th car in queue). Also, i was told to leave my car at SC for 3 days to rectify the problem.. I wonder how this can be settle if all the CKD Forte were affected. Naza should really look into this matter seriously.. A month ago, i was so anticipated to get on hand with my new Forte, and fast forward to a month later...the rattling noise driving me nuts, makes me think back, am i making the right choice? questioning the reliability of this car once again.. |
