I afraid that I need to repeat this again, I plonked in RM2k for a new set of tires and the car once and for all transformed from unpredictable safety and noisy ride into a stable planted on the ground with much more ride refinement quieter car on highway.. sharper maneuvering response is a bonus.. thus I don't felt that spending such money is a waste. Worth every penny.

I think it is good idea to change to 16" since our road like a sai .... shit I mean.

Of course more comfortable. I test myvi with 65 thickness .. when hit bump only hear 'duk' 'duk'.... our 17" with 45 thickness can hear 'gak' 'gak'... The rim macam mau tanggal. The SC warned me not to drive fast and hit pothole with 17". sure bye bye.

Of course you have to sacrifice the looks and also not so stable when cornering.
About the FC, it will be the same lah if mixed drive between city and highway.... I guess. Unless you change to good tyre like MX2 (Got green X) ... I think save 5%.

Dont simply get cap ayam 16" rim. Some even heavier than 17" rim.

I believe lighter rim will help to save fuel on city drive and accelerate more faster.

For tyre, Please take note some brand of 16" more expensive than 17"... I asked Yokohama and continental 16" more expensive than 17". Michelin cheaper.

FYI, I got Lenso Project D - Spec E - 17" ... It is about 7.5-8kg.

for 215/45/17 tyre...there are a few tyre choices....

As mentioned many times before, using RON97 on a car designed for RON95 will be almost a complete waste. Most of the ppl who claim they have experienced better power and acceleration using RON97 on their RON95 designed cars are merely saying that based on a psychological hypothesis. So stop wasting your money.

If u wanna feel that extra umph then fill up with the Shell V Power Racing. V Power 97 wont give you any extra push.

my personal testing and survey confirmed BHP got best balance of strongest/quickest acceleration response and smoothness with engine quietness, but slightly higher FC than Petronas. Caltex and Shell gave me poor FC, sluggish power and loud engine noise when accelerating.. (Forte, Vios, M5, Corolla Altis, Focus, Golf GTI, Estima)

so, let's boycott Caltex and Cap Kerang togeder-geder

today had heart attack day with my forte.

As usual, i use my remote to open up my boot and put my stuff in. then depress the brake then push the start/stop button to start up the engine. First, i heard short "ngek" sound (the usual sound when it unlock the steering lock) then everything just dead. i push the start/stop button again, but no respond. so i tried to long press on start/stop button for 10 sec (or more), no respond either. then i put my smart key into smart key holder, no luck. whole car like no electricity, not even the interior light is on. so i got out from the car, use my remote to open up the boot, no respond.
Then i got back inside my car, push my smart key back to smart key holder. suddenly the interior light turn on, i can see some indicator light turn on in instrument panel. so i tried again start up engine, but the brake appeared to be very hard, this time i able to start up the engine. to ensure everything back to normal, i stop the engine. i pull out the smart key from the holder, and try start the engine. this time, the break back to normal and i able to start the engine. but the clock seems reset.

anyone encounter such incident before? i know i need to send my car back to SC (less than 2 weeks, and this will be my second visit to SC), but just wanna know what the hack was going on with my car. i hope i able to start my car tmr morning.... a bit trauma liao.... :s

who you bought it from ? Did the seller do the installation for you (if its from V12 he will do for you)...

i think you ask wrong person, bennedict possible will bring you to holland.....did you feel anything the 1st 3 days after installation ? Could it be you already used to it ?

Your Forte 2.0 or 1.6? If it is 2.0, the normal one will not give you any improvement as I what I heard from seller. If 2.0, get Super Firestorm.

I bought Super for my 1.6SX. As seller said, it give you power when you drive on highway but not city. I feel the same too. On the highway or road that seldom stop/start, you just press the fuel pedal and release, the car will still continue move further. Also it will improve if you climb up hill.

To understand whether you connect correctly, there is a diagram in cari forum. Jaysonloh88 - He is using the same too.



I don't simply buy product, I have read thru the forum, recommendation from V12Kompressor, This product really not bad. Of course you don't expect it to bring down your car from 1.3 tonne to 1 tonne of weight 

More reviews from lowyat. I read thru from 2011 and all reviews are positive. Of course some others said 'no feel'.

After I pasang mercun 10 days ago, today found the FC worse then before. No choice. I have to accept it. But for sure my 6-speed 1.6SX engine slightly smooth and better when climb up hill.
