I'm thinking to change from 17" to 16" hmm.gif

Actually I'm quite like the current 17" design and color, so trying to hunt some similar design for 16" too.

Any shop to introduce? icon_question.gif

That's why...
Please vote for change in the coming GE.
Not just because of cars and/or tax, but for so many other reasons.
I know the opposition is also not 100% clean, but at least not as crazily and brazenly as bold as the current Govt who eat money left-right-center. They not worried kena tangkap also...coz they have so many 'friends' at so many govt depts.
Anyways, I should stop now. This is a car thread..I should just stick to car-talk. My apologies.

just sharing some info on our nation CAR tax....

http://www.maa.org.my/info_duty.htm

point to ponder.....hmmmmmm......

according to the table...for our CKD 1.6SX/ 1.6 EX

the selling price for these 2 models include: 10% (Import Duty) + 75% (Excise Duty)...why laaaaaa upto 75%..... + 10% (Sales Tax)

Do a high speed turn only can feel it. Normal drive just nothing. Btw ARB play more role among those bars.
*
if u got time.....try to find a big roundabout and drive around the roundabout a few times....set ur target speed..and be very specific....i mean by that say drive 80km/h and try maintain in the same lane without crossing the adjacent lane....
(be very careful though.....)

did u experience sway or bodyroll......???

so far.....the only handling upgrade that i've done is AUTOFOAM (Comfort Package) my ride.....i can tell that bodyroll and sway have been reduce when drive in the condition that i stated above.....will upgrade to Track Package when got time.....

At the moment still haven't thought of installing UTR....hehehe....

Plus...if got extra $$$$...u should upgrade the tyre......if ur budget is around RM300-RM400 per tyre..there is alot of good tyre around.....my choice.....in no particular order....NEXEN N8000, GT Radial HPY, Yokohama C Drive 2.....do some research and pick the one that u prefer to in terms of Wet Handling, Dry Handling, Comfort, Noise...some of the points need to consider before changing tyres....but get the one that is better than stock tyres....if not..it will be pointless....

BE Safe on the ROad........

I've done the Door Seal (3M) for my car...result is OK for the price that i paid...i cant remember exactly how much but in the region of RM1XX for all 4 doors. Yeap...the door will be slightly hard to close..but it will have "thump" sound instead of tin kosong sound....
As for soundproof the Car, for me personally i won't do it DIY....becoz...i'm not skill enough and not knowledgeable enough...hehehe..

Each and every material for soundproof have their range of use, placement and method of application...to save the hassle i just go to shop that i have confidence...my choice of shop to do Soundproof...EA Autoworks (Howie Choo) or KL Auto (Desmond)...can find them on facebook...

but our forte door is very nice d wor, no nid that sound liao.

wan to do soundproof, but some are overprice and expensive. =='

cant find suitable shop , unless DIY ownself, but duno how lol.

for our Forte...the focus shoud be to reduce Road Noise (Tyre Noise) and Wind Noise (When High Speed Cruising)...

Normally for these scenario...from what i observed from the 2 shops that i mention before (EA Autoworks & KL Auto)...they will focus the Soundproof Treatment on...Wheel Arch...Floor Area (Inside the Car)...and Pillar (Inside the Car)...it's painstaking process...so...when do it at their shop the price will be on the premium side....but Howie Choo have some beginner guide on how to start ur Sound Proof journey....may refer to this link for more info.....

hi guys...i'm just wondering recently about our car special feature "warm centre console".... hmm.gif

any of u guys ever ask SC about this scenario....nowadays...it seems very2 hot....30 C plus during the day...the hot weather + warm centre console = Long Term Effect on gearbox..??? hmm.gif hmm.gif especially those who always stuck in traffic jam....

thanx for ur opinion...

thanx guys... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

will check wif nearest SC (AZ World Car Services) when they got stock....my one is 1.6...

just to share smthg on my 10K service @ AZ World Car Services..besides the usual 10K service checklist...i also request them to check on the car alignment...they suggested me to add camber on RHS...so far...the ride is better then previously, been driving around 300 km wif camber on RHS...

and...i just pour in a bottle of CERATEC (200 km to date)...so far...idle rpm seem lower...engine seem to be more eager to rev (quite easy to achieve 4k rpm compare to previously without CERATEC...sorry can't seem to express quite right wif words....huhuhu..)....just sharing on what i have gone through.....

that's because the exhaust CAT is there. Will have bit warm but won't HOT (depend how you define HOT/Warm)
Not really, AFAIK at least end of last year batch already 'improved'. For owner that still doesn't like the 'warm' they will add another layer....actually can DIY. 2.0 same also

hi bro..thanx for the input...actually for highway driving..i'm not too concern about the heat from centre console becoz i think when cruising...got enuff air flow around that area...thus should be ok i think.....my concern is when we drive in traffic jam situation..when there is no air flow around the exhaust there...scared it will effect the gearbox in the long run.....

another thing is....for me...i drive quite a distance daily....roughly around 120 km per day....for me that a LOT of km....huhuhuhu...so need to take care of the engine and the transmission better...

anyway...i have ask AZ World to inform me when they have stock for the insulator and installed it as soon as possible...

Sorry, what's a camber and where is it added to? At the front engine?

Also, what's the CERATEC for and where can I get it?

Thanks in advance.
*
hi bro...i also not really in the know how to explain the camber thingy....maybe can refer to here for some explanation... icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

http://www.anewtoronto.com/wheel%20alignment.html

anyway...for me...i drive quite a distance in a day...roughly around 120 km per day...so i always look into stuff that can prolonged engine and transmission life....from my reading....these 2 things have been shown to help the engine and transmission....even though at the moment...i only use one namely CERATEC.....CERATEC (http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/produktdb.nsf/id/en_3721.html?Opendocument&land=GB&voilalang=e&voiladb=web.nsf) is for engine and LUBEGARD (http://www.lubegard.com/C-110/Transmission) is for transmission...

got some seller sell both on the LYN Automotive Garage...
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Sear...ghlite=lubegard
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Sear...ighlite=ceratec

i'm not a seller though....i'm just sharing only..... smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
