Xperia Z's camera is quite good but not as expected(because our expectation for sony's sensor is really high) And the HTC One's ultrapixel, i have heard of the camera does quite well in low light, as it absorb 3 times more light than normal sensor, but it sacrifices the daylight performances..and the pixel is relatively low(4mp)

QUOTE(eugenetwh @ Feb 24 2013, 09:01 PM) Questions... It says... 1m submersion for 30mins.... So after 25mins i remove it from water.... will the time left for future submersion will only be 5mins or will it reset back? Follow up... if it resets back... how long do i have to wait to submerge it again? sudden realisation It needs to be dried, then you can submerge it for another 30mins for not more than 1m

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Feb 24 2013, 10:15 PM) You know what? Since they have propagated the feature, when you do it within the limits stated and something untoward happens, just send in for a warranty claim. But of course, you do not know the ramifications and may have to spend time in ensuring you come out unscathed. how can they be sure if the phone wasnt submerged into the water for more than 1m or for more than 30mins?

Its not so easy to get scratches on glass, especially tempered glass. Glass is harder than metal.. unless it's dropped on a really hard floor(like rock) with sharp edges.
Im using my xperia p naked, and the aluminium back got scratched by the floor.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Feb 25 2013, 11:31 AM) Glass..even Gorilla Glass scratch with dust/sand particle I saw one video on youtube, they rub the xperia z with sand, and after that wash it with water, and no scratches at all lol

QUOTE(Areas Elysian @ Feb 25 2013, 03:41 PM) Rumours out there are pointing towards the same pen-tile screen for the Galaxy S4. Edit: Why would Samsung use this layout? It is because it uses roughly 1/3 less sub-pixels compared to traditional RGB layout. In another words, to cut cost. Also, due to the layout of pen-tile, one can argue that a 1080p pen-tile screen is NOT really 1080p, but less. The digital signal to the display might be 1080p, the processor and all will process 1080p, but the output will be less than 1080p due to the layout. Recent phones to use it: Galaxy Nexus Dell Venue Pro Nokia N9 Nokia Lumia 800 Droid RAZR HTC One S Samsung Galaxy S III but s iv is rumored to have solux instead of amoled..

QUOTE(Areas Elysian @ Feb 25 2013, 07:51 PM) To each their own. Nothing to do with microscopic eyes. Just like how some people can tell the difference between a good DAC and a good set of cans, and wouldn't use otherwise, while others will be happy with the stock iPod ear buds. I had the Xperia S, was given a SIII by my boss (he's an Apple user, he got it as a gift and didn't bothered trying it, lol), and I immediately noticed the difference. You'll notice it when you're reading webpages, typing out emails and all. The fonts will all be blurry and giving the illusion of low contrast. When the Acro S came out I immediately sold the SIII for that. right, when i first see galaxy s lll, i immediately notice the color difference, even my xperia p with only qHD is better for me.

I hope the design will be great, the size is just right as a Phablet, and also some breakthrough features rather than just plain specs upgrade This post has been edited by Stitchie: Feb 25 2013, 11:31 PM

QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Feb 27 2013, 01:11 PM) Preferably to get it at KL, Singapore is far for me and there might be warranty issues for me. I shall head to Sony Centre at Tmes Square later. What do I need to do to pre-order? Hopefully can get a fast reply, will head there around 3pm. probably will take down ur contact num and stuff, and of course deposit ranging from 50~200, depends.

QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Feb 27 2013, 01:31 PM) Contacted Sony from Tmes Square, they don't don't seem to accept any pre-order,please correct me if I'm wrong. As for the Sony centre at Low Yat Plaza, a preorder of RM2000 should be made, wow? Please advice. I went there few days ago, and when i ask them about Z, they asked me if i wanna do pre-order, but i said i just ask only...

Actually judging a screen in a video is not accurate, they would somehow be distracted or distorted in a way...i would rather see it myself if it's gonna suit my eyes.

QUOTE(jianlin @ Mar 2 2013, 03:42 PM) s800 is half the power of s4 pro with 75% improvement...i bet it still lose tegra 4..lol When tegra 4 beats s600 in benchmark tests, qualcomm immediately says that the s800 will definitely take the tegra 4 down.
