QUOTE(Cubalagi @ Apr 16 2024, 04:51 PM) Yes contribution rate is the same. But now 10% of the contribution goes to an account that can be withdrawn like savings account. 23% go in, 2.3% can go out. the 2.3% goes out or not, optional right?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 19 2024, 02:14 PM) More like withdraw all in account 3 & invest elsewhere which give higher returns but with higher risk too 😉😄 theoretically, EPF = risk free. I will certainly maintain a large chunk of my fund in a risk free portfolio and allocate certain portion to pursue higher potential returns.

QUOTE(fuzzy @ May 2 2024, 10:29 AM) You can start by not adding any money to the Account 3, so it will be zero upon launch. Later, EPF will allow members to do a savings transfer from Account 3 to 1 or 2 at any EPF Offices by completing the ‘Savings Transfer To Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera Form (KWSP 12)'. But no details yet as to if I need to do it everytime, or can it be automated. Will see. Given this option of one-way transfer is mentioned, EPF has the intention of lowering the Acc 3 interest in the future. But given clause (iii) is also there, to transfer Acc 2 to Acc 1, are they gonna lower Acc 2 dividend as well? I think quite unlikely as it is it is not as liquid, just like before only....

Sorry, I might have missed out and this could have been discussed before.
How long does it take if you withdraw your money from Account 3 (Flexible)?
After i moved my funds from A/C 2 to A/C 3.
I did it online and it says if any withdrawal exceeding RM3k will then require thumbprint verification.
So I tried and tested RM3k but this morning was still showing pending/accepted or something.
So I thought I just need to do a general thumbprint verification over the counter, but the dude macam very blur and couldnt address to me.
Subsequently i tried withdrawing some other larger amounts via the app, it then says they will send me an SMS telling me when to go and do a thumprint verification.
So the other lady just advised me to cancel both online transactions, and I just did the first time withdrawal over the counter, it was very fast for the entire withdrawal process.
I was made to understand that the process will take up to 7 working days, which i think it is very long.
So in your experience, how long would it take roughly? 2 days? 3 days?

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Jul 23 2024, 11:26 AM) Yesterday try to withdraw RM50 from the counter to register the bank, the EPF staff complain say "RM50 pun mahu withdraw kat counter". I thought the app cannot do if we don't do OTC the first time, no? why not ask them over the counter? from what i understand, 3k and above would need thumbprint verification (prolly only for the first time). so many 3k and below no need for thumbprint verification (even for the first time).

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Aug 22 2024, 08:26 PM) Now many are talking about RM4 million and above. So, the revision of govt salaries is good to match the many well paying jobs in Malaysia. And if what the economists said is true, the ringgit will continue to strengthen and this would not be good news to those who park their wealth overseas. And the coming petrol subsidy will provide the spark. QUOTE(YoungMan @ Aug 22 2024, 09:01 PM) Actually moving forward, it is still best for gov not to subsidise petrol and diesel. Let it float like before 2018, and channel those money for development of the country. those who park their money at 4.8 apiece now instantly down by some 8% already. but they would have gained back from returns in their overseas investment
