QUOTE(romuluz777 @ May 4 2020, 01:54 AM) For No.7, is this option in the drop-down menu of e-Pengeluaran menu of the i-akaun only available to EPF members with sufficient balance (i.e RM 1 juta and above) ? yes, the system automatically programmed in such a way the function/facility to withdraw will be appeared once the amount is more than a million.I mean, those who hv lesser balance will not be able to see this option in the drop-down menu when selecting New Application ? |

QUOTE(afif737 @ May 3 2020, 07:05 PM) I have posted a few replies in other threads that I do not touch my EPF money, not a single sen, ever. I'm a strong believer in that actually haha. I have this concern, maybe too long lockdown in house. What if EPF suddenly without consulting the 1mil gang members, epf with the new chairman n new powerful Sr Minister, out of the context of saving the government, totally eliminate this clause on withdrawing any amount if more than 1mil option? Can epf do this? Legally. IF they planning to, do with have a window for us to withdraw the excess of 1mil to own bank whether put in FD whatever, still safer... Thoughts? |

True, RM 1M in the EPF is nothing. By late-30s you should already reach this level if makan gaji.
That is assuming you dont withdraw from it for anything (i.e housing, education, healthcare etc) This post has been edited by romuluz777: May 6 2020, 12:15 PM |

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ May 6 2020, 02:53 PM) ermm...if your gross salary is in the range of rm5-10k...i doubt by late 30s can achieve Assume start working at 24, with wages 10k per month at start and remains the same until 39. even without withdrawing a single cent 10K per month - Total EPF saved per year is only RM27K. 15 years RM414K saved, compounded with EPF return of 6%, still short 1 mil. Need more than 10K. Basically, need 5 digit wages per month. |

QUOTE(wayton @ May 6 2020, 03:12 PM) Assume start working at 24, with wages 10k per month at start and remains the same until 39. yeap...hence it's not normal with malaysia salary range10K per month - Total EPF saved per year is only RM27K. 15 years RM414K saved, compounded with EPF return of 6%, still short 1 mil. Need more than 10K. Basically, need 5 digit wages per month. and how many 24yo can start with > 10k gross salary ? of course some can argue salary will increase gradually...but by how much ?
