2.5% min.

The EPF ensures that your savings are secure and receive reasonable dividends. In fact, it guarantees a minimum of 2.5 Per Cent Dividend annually. To ensure dividend payments, the EPF invests your contribution in approved financial instruments for optimum returns.

I do not mean the minimum dividend. I meant the payout of the yearly EARNINGS. Someone mentioned 90% ?

If a company pays late, would the yearly dividend be calculated on the whole annual amount of that year plus the current balance or only what is bank in at that time?

Example,

Jan & Feb, paid in Mar
Mar & Apr, paid in May
May & Jun paid in Jul
Jul & Aug paid in Sept
Sept & Oct paid in Nov
Nov & Dec haven't bank in until today.

So will the divided be applied to the whole sum of that year

Let's say annually $10k

Annual Dividends, on the one hand, are calculated based on the opening balance of your savings as at 1 January of each year. Monthly Dividends credited into your account, on the other hand, are based on the monthly contributions received.

I believe its calculated based on the balance as at end of last year. Late payments will be subjected to late charges and dividend penalties. EPF do not contribute to defaulters on the outstanding payments.

in syariah commerce, there cannot be guaranteed profit in business, profit/loss are equally shared as partners/share holders.
Really, tbh, the biggest push for this syariah EPF is because of muslim epf members want to have a *clean* epf income which only come from syariah compliant instrument. I am not sure how it is attractive for non muslim especially when the epf switch to syariah account is not reversible.
