Of course they asked you to withdraw cause they want you to buy their product. they earn commission for every new customers.

2015 was a good year in RM terms. Portfolio with foreign currency assets should give overall returns of 10% or more. If EPF can give 6% for 2014, then last year should be better

But they will keep some under their sleeve because 2016 had a bad start. In RM terms it could be -10%

ah i doubt it. personal friends they know i dont buy anything from them anyway.

Already after cny, still no new from epf? Last was around this week

ASNB said after CNY. 3 possibilities:

after the 2 days CNY public holidays. But this did not happen.

after the CNY week.
Wait and see on this Monday & Tuesday.

after the 2 weeks CNY, after Chap Gor May on 22 Feb.

Yes, I am eager to know the %. Not that I want to use it now. Will be good to know if the rate is reasonably high to lay a bigger retirement foundation fund.


P/S Just had a read on the Sun's article. MTUC thinks it will be on 20 Feb as MTUC will have a meeting with EPF on 19 Feb. I fail to see the logic flow on the dividend date. I think it will be announced on this Mon or Tues.

It's normal to be announced on saturday. There will bring down i-akaun for system maintanance this week

hypothetically you can use past trends as avg for dividends moving forward.
since every year % differs and fluctuates, what would be your basis to lay your 'bigger retirement foundation'.
surely this year's announcement itself may not be conclusive for your decision.
if it's high, you want to to increase permanently? what if next year's divvy dips?
