from IGNQUOTE It's WrestleMania 22 in Chicago, Illinois this weekend and to help celebrate the occasion, the folks from Yuke's, THQ, and WWE are going to make a special announcement tomorrow evening. To be revealed at the annual Superstar Challenge prior to this weekend's festivities (which includes the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony and WrestleMania itself), the announcement will officially confirm the next iteration of the WWE videogame family, WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007.
In addition to confirmation that the game is coming to stores later this year, the most interesting piece of information actually relates to the systems on which the game is coming out -- which embrace PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions besides the expected PS2 and PSP SKUs.
This move not only marks the first time in the franchise's history that a SmackDown title will appear on two system generations at once, but also, the first time that the game will be headed to a platform other than one created by Sony. the first WWE game for the xbox to not suck? hehe... thats wat they said about the last wrestlemania cool screens nonetheless This post has been edited by Furious Han: Mar 31 2006, 09:28 AM

YES! YES! YES! finally... i'll be the 1st to camp outside djinn's shop in 1u for the game actually the previous 3 xbox wwe games suckz because it was developed by anchor inc. but the wrestlemania not that bad lah. controls were getting a bit better but the realism of moves and finishers totally out in wrestlemania. meanwhile for ps2 all the wwe series was developed by yukes. from the article it saids the new WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007will include xbox360 and the best part developed by yukes! I dunno, I was a huge fan of the Smackdown series, but it has gotten a bit boring in the past few games. I guess that it has already achieved the highest level already, and now they can't go any further..... I wish that they'd put Brock Lesnar into this game..... that dude was so amazing I hate John Cena, totally overrated. I hate Triple H too, but at least he has great wrestling techniques. I really hope Trips will take the title from Cena in wrestlemania...

BUMPERS!! Since the game is coming very soon, thought I'd revive this thread for those who are anticipating the game. Play Asia already has the game up for Pre Order....bad news is, is that it's the Japanese version, with no Asian version in sight... http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-el-49-en-70-1mfg.htmlSo it'll be US$64.90 releasing on 14th Dec 2006....slightly later than the US version but it's there. No news whether US version might be region free or not, crossing my fingers.... The demo is out and looks promising. They've maintained the SD formula and added some pretty cool stuff like environmental grapples and of course, the unique grappling controls which still take getting used to. And the unlimited reversals are quite cool. All in all, can't wait for the game. And the bonus is that Kurt Angle is still in the game, even though he's gone to TNA.

Confirmed wrestler listBatista Jillian Hall Rey Mysterio Big Show Joey Mercury Ric Flair Bobby Lashley John Cena Rob Van Dam The Boogeyman Johnny Nitro Shawn Michaels Booker T Kane Shelton Benjamin Candice Ken Kennedy Snitsky Carlito Kid Kash Super Crazy Chavo Guerrero Kurt Angle Torrie Wilson Chris Benoit Lance Cade Trevor Murdoch Chris Masters Lita Triple H Daivari Mark Henry Trish Stratus Edge Matt Hardy Umaga Finlay Melina The Undertaker The Great Khali Mickie James Viscera Gregory Helms Paul Burchill Vito Hardcore Holly Psicosis William Regal JBL Randy Orton LegendsBam Bam Bigelow Hulk Hogan Roddy Piper Bret Hart Jerry Lawler Shane McMahon Cactus Jack Jim Neidhart Steve Austin Dude Love Mankind Tazz Dusty Rhodes Mr. Perfect Eddie Guerrero The Rock The only noticeable missing person is Jeff Hardy (naturally), and I'm kinda surprised to see Tazz and Shane O Mac as Legends. Wish they'd put in Brock Lesnar as a legend, but I'm sure they have the F5 as a finisher so we can create our own Brock And if we can rip our own music to be used as entrances, everything would be perfect
