laugh.gif I wonder what other useful cards SCB has? OK, besides giving free cash back. laugh.gif
Er, everyone gets that verification call. Mine was rejected after the call, but approved after appealed.
I think you won't be that bad luck la.

Ya, that was my first rejection as well. blush.gif

this time a bit different, my pay slips showing "consultant fees" only with no EPF brows.gif
see how it turns out then, whether ocbc considers this as extra risk for them or not

dear all sifus, i just wanna ask that is there any rules stating we cannot have more than 2 credit cards? Bcos recently I had applied for OCBC Ti and CIMB cash back but both was rejected. My annual income is >50k per year and have no bad financial status.

Currently holding a SC business platinum and HLB gsc card

Anyone has any idea why?
*
are you working in a sdn bhd?
did u submit 3 months salary slips and also your bank statement?

My company is a private hospital. I met the crew on their normal booth at a mall, so they said that they do not need the salary slips as said, as they had printed my EPF statement. anyhow, the bank did not give me a call if they needed more documents also.
*
if got epf statement, that's the best oledi

I recalled you said China right? Have fun over there. Do not forget us here while you're having fun over there.  laugh.gif
My approval comes after my appeal, so maybe that is why, appeal case. I do recall them asking me if it is ok if they give me a lower CL than my other cards. I said ok as long as they approve. But didnt expect it to be that low though
Yup, planning to do just that. Actually 4K is more than enough la, since most of my expenses go to the M2 Amex. That one has good CL. I need the Ti for weekdays, when I maxed the 5% for the Amex and also as a backup MC, in the unlikely event that both my M2 Amex and Visa fail.  smile.gif
*
mine oso appeal case, i requested for 5k limit in my appeal letter
in the end ocbc gave 10k, still lower than my 2 other cards though (come to thk of it, luckily scb lowered my limit, else no chance of getting approved laugh.gif )

I didn't know that. hmm.gif
Thanks for enlightening. I thought it is up to the individual bank unless you have any late payment or not a good paymaster in other bank. hmm.gif

thk so, b4 revised, SCB + MBB = my annual salary (so basically I can swipe one yr of earning in one month) sweat.gif
now all 3 still less than my annual salary

Bro, good thing you got discipline in controlling your spending  tongue.gif

It is good BNM came out with strict guidelines for credit cards so that banks are not so generous in giving high CL as before (maybe except for Citibank, keep wanting to increase my wife's CL). Previously, one can easily be made a bankrupt with credit cards unsecured credit provided by banks, example my case.

Except for CIMB when I wanted their WMC and Visa Infinite, I have never submitted any documents to proof my income for any of my credit cards. My first two cards in Malaysia where "transferred" from my US AMEX charged card and Citibank credit card which I had when I was an undergraduate (click here to see some of them).. As of Jan 2012, I had credit cards from 10 different banks (click here to see them) and my total combined CL  = 10 years salary (when I was a salaryman). Now my CL is like equal to infinity of my last monthly salary haha.

Since then I have cancelled my SCB VI, HLB (Ex EON) VS and reduced my HLB CL to 1/5 (since I hardly use the card) to what it was; and, now my combined CL less than 7 figures. But if I add my unemployed wife's 4 principal cards CL too (total combine 6 figures) to mine, it's 7 figures again.

And the card I use most (in terms of monetary value) is my MBB VI and nowadays they won't even entertain my request for increase in CL because I got no pay slip  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif And it is a miracle MBB granted me their VI, like I said, they don't have my income records.
*
yea, dangerous if no self-discipline
wow, 7 figures cl in total, wonder when i can reach that stage hmm.gif
if u keep maxing out your mbb VI cl, maybe MBB will auto increase for u laugh.gif
