Hi guys. Gaia here! I'm really happy to see such post exist regarding about the connection issue when playing WOW. I'm quite envy to see mojarity of you guys here have better connection than me, everytime i login my latency always be around 1k and above sometime i even get 5digit for my first trial.

i have some newb question to ask, hope you guys can help me solve my problem.

1: Will DSL Filter reduce my connection speeds?

2: Will Telekom ever bother and send their technician to help me check the telephone cable, if i tell them that the streamyx technician said that the telephone cable is giving weak signal. Hence my modem is getting weak signal and slow connection speed (i am paying for 1m speed but the modem reads only 400kbps...)

Really felt liked i've been cheater by their lousy service

yess ever since then all lines have been havok ... it's funnier when there was one time hunting for 218.xx.xx.xx ip. When i got that IP somehow it auto disconnects and connect you back to 60.xx.xx.xx or 219.xx.xx.xx i kennot tahan with the lousy connection so i called some ppl who know some ppl and immediately the next day TMnet gives me a call and ask my feedback on their connection (its funny how thing works ). And of course i've mentioned after their upgrading lines bla bla bla ....
and of course i must add in we have to pay and play wow & Every LOUSY connection's cost us CASH as well bla bla bla and of course must Exaggerate a bit one. To exxagerate more i put my business always deal with e-mail bla bla bla

SURPRISINGLY

They send in their guys on the following day and connection seem to went back to normal after another few more days things went back it used to be haih . Back to iphunting... I feel like b**bing TMnet.

p.s. i've played wow at Mandarin Oriental. Their CONNECTION is GODLY. Always between green and yellow.

Actually the bulk of the connection issues lie in the areas you reside in.

Take a good look around your area and see if there is proper communications infrastructure.

I stay in PJ, and near the telekom tower... I always get green-yellow connections.
Most of the time i can get 218.x.x.x IP without fail.

But some of my other friends from different areas find it very hard to obtain the 218.x.x.x IP.

NOt only that guys.
I've discovered that it also depends on how your port is linked to their ips.
I've made a complain to the technical support asking why is my latency over 3 K + when i play on a US server but yellow when i play in frostmourne which is an oceanic server


Different servers have different ip and in the end it depends on how your port is linked to their ips..

Sometimes it also depends on your location. I remembered once i was at IF the latency spiked up to 1.5K to 2K .. when i'm back at Feralas or Gadgetzan .. it went back down to yellow. I never tried oceanic server cuz always full .. lol

I tried connecting to 218.111.XXX.XXX IP, it was beautiful!!! 200-500ms....all seems right in this world...PEACE TO EVERYONE!!! LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR!!! HATE THY HORDE!!! Thank you all for sharing this miracle with me....I can't thank you guys enuf.....I love you guys...

Sigh im one of those unable to connect to any 218.xxx ip, 24/7 im stuck with 60.48.110-119.xxx IP. Already tried reconnecting hundreds of times. My connection to any wow server starts lagging after 12pm, i get 5000-10000 ms in crowded areas, and only at around 3am-8am my connection is 300-500ms. Im just so sick of tmnet and their bullshit and cant do anything about it..really dont know what to do.

i didnt know got such thing as 218.xxx.xxx IP.. been playing for a year just taking whatever connection i get and complaining, and im playing on the most populous server =.= blackrock.

I stay in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. Node ... uhmmm might not be near. The infra there... I think they redid the whole TTDI before a couple of years back. My connetion still suck. I send in complain letter every 3 months and I still chat with ppl from tm.net that don't know about networks.
