i was taking a curve when i felt slight vibration.

when i got down and checked, i noticed one of my rear tire had lost all of its thread while the other 3 looks okay. i bought all of them at the same date.

what caused that?

balancing/alignment/camber/toe adjustments, absorbers possibly even spring, badly damaged driveshaft/tie rod/steering rack/wheel bearing. check all those, it'll be either 1 or a combination of the items i mentioned

that sound expensive. oh well, at least i know what to expect from the mech.

if you're on a proton then it's only few hundred ringgit. other cars especially conti ones, yeah prepare to break that piggy bank

the bigger problem is please spare that 5 min to look at your tyres once a week, or once every fortnight at least. cannot imagine how neglected your tyres are if one of them can be completely botak while the other three are ok. remember. tyres are the most important part of your car

yeah, i'm regretting it too.

the tire cost me RM450 per pcs. it is kinda heartbreaking when only one is botak while others at their 60-70% tread depth.

i rotated front with rear set every 3 months tho.

what are u driving btw?

5-15k km, not months.
time ages all tires, however tread reduces the more you drive.

and yes as mentioned, please spend time to check your tires oftentimes, and not wait until they get uneven wear/balding and start to panic

beemer typically dun recommend tyres rotation...

Replace that only 1 worn tyre with new.

use till all balance wear then baru fix the problem.
