Over 15,000 Bookings For Nissan Almera

Edaran Tan Chong Motor has collected over 15,000 bookings for its Almera model within just three months after its launch. The numbers are tabulated as of January 31 2013.

“Even as more choices are available in the market for car buyers, we are truly honoured that they are choosing Nissan ALMERA and this is a strong testament of their confidence in our products and services,” said executive director Datuk Dr. Ang Bon Beng.

people buy popular car because of resale and spare part availability.

After seeing so many dugongs on our road, it is just a dugong wannabe.

I don't want to start any argument on who's better and whatnot and excise duty and whatever, but I test drive preve earlier and 3 weeks ago I tested almera top spec (got start stop button one) I have to say honestly that preve is just a better car, top spec only 73k.

In the end I think the only purchasing factor if compared between these 2 models is concern about brand and reliability.

Proton please take note. You have a better car for sure, but consumers have a pre conseived mind about your brand and reliability. That's the only trump card here.

Test drive is more of handling.
Handling, Proton wins hands down. Known fact.

However, owning a car is not about just handling.
Reliability and resale value are the much bigger concern for this category of buyers (low-middle income group).

If you ask me, Almera or Preve. I'd pick Almera.
If you ask me, Amera or Inspira. I'd pick Inspira.

do someone realize that the rear nissan badge on almera is so damn small? Smaller than the 'ALMERA' emblem.. Somehow, this car is equipped nicely BUT the design sucks big time
