Hi,
I'm required to get an eyesight (Snellen's Chart) and color blind (Ishihara) test report from a QUALIFIED doctor. Where can i have my eye tests done? Opticians are not allowed. Should i go to an eye specialist or hospital to get it done?

If you want the "proper" eye test, you can go TONEH (Tun hussein onn eye hospital). the doctor there will give you the eye check with the australian aviation thingy on it. And i think any other hospital would work as well.

do you have any idea how much is the charge? i need to know first hand before i go so i won't be overcharged. i'm afraid to go to any specialists because of the exhorbitant fee. it's just a simple test by looking at those chart hung on the wall and a color book with numbers.

Well, its not government hospital its, an NGO. so its cost quite a lot like rm50 if i am not wrong. coz the last time i went to hospitals they keep asking me to go next counter until i got fed up of it, some of my friends went to gov hospitals as well, but i am not sure which one. hehe the day i went for interviewed, the interviwer thought i went to australia to do eye check haha..

ok. i got it done at Tun Hussein Onn eye hospital today. the doctors are certified eye examiner with the australian aviation body. very professional. today alone i saw few other aspiring pilots who did their tests there.

for those aspiring pilots who need to have an eye test as well, you can go there to do the test. RM60.
