My phone's running on IOS 6.1, jailbroken. Working fine with the LTE although the signal's pretty weak.

I did a speedtest near the Centrepoint bridge last night. Got around 30+ Mbps.

Battery life for both LTE and 3G should be about the same. It's just that your phone is constantly searching for a stronger signal that makes it consume more battery.
