Just called Maxis CS regarding LTE on iPhone 5. The person I spoke to mentioned that iValue Simple is not the same as iValue Lite and confirmed that subscribers are able to enjoy LTE on the iValue Simple plan.

Is there anyone here running on LTE via the iValue Simple plan? Or, have I been fed wrong information?  hmm.gif

I tweeted them also. They also said that iValue Simple will have LTE connection.

I asked maxis via webchat and the fella say must change nano sim because not all nano sim support lte.  I am on ivalue simple and cannot connect to lte in sec 17.  He asked to go maxis center upgrade nano sim for rm25.  Anybody got the same story from maxis?
*
Why should we spend more money to upgrade our nano SIM anyway, it should be LTE ready when we get our phone.

are you using iValue Simple? i am this plan user too...

i'm trying to sort things out...
i get to know from maxis saying that iValue Simple is entitled for LTE, but the service will be assign to nano-sim by the batch number...

for example, currently it will be batch with serial 010 and 020 to get the LTE first... while if u r in the batch of 030, then u have to patiently wait for a while  hmm.gif
come to conclusion, not every nano sim/iphone 5 will get LTE due to maxis want to avoid overloading on their LTE network...

so maybe i'm the one in 3rd batch sim or even later....  icon_question.gif

Is this info directly from Maxis themselves?

So it was the caused by the nano SIM card, shall I wait for them to update or change a new nano SIM?

I was on iValue Simple for the past 3 months. When LTE was launched, I could not "get" LTE despite being in the coverage area.

Then, I upgraded to iValue 1 last Saturday. Managed to hook on to LTE after that (at the same area).

Conclusion: iValue Simple subscribers are unable to enjoy LTE (for the time being, perhaps?).

Great, Maxis bias! sad.gif

Yes, you'll be surprised, inside the building at my work place, sometimes my 3G drops down to EDGE only. I stand up and look out the window, I can see people walking inside Menara Maxis KLCC. Last time can see people inside the gym also, but the gym moved to avenue K already.

My office at Megan Avenue only. No LTE. doh.gif

Another test from me. I do notice battery tend to last longer if I'm on LTE mode. Not by much, maybe 10-20% longer.

Did Maxis just widened its LTE coverage? I am on LTE almost constantly in Seri Kembangan after returning from IOI Mall (with LTE). Nice.

I think so, I get LTE signal quite often now. But still on 3G at my home and office. sad.gif
