Celcom has been given green light from MCMC to use 1800Mhz spectrum. So we'll see another telco will provide iPhone 5 LTE in the market soon..

QUOTE(rmvalues @ Apr 19 2013, 07:42 PM) I think they will introduce 2600Mhz spectrum first then after this maybe month later they launch 1800Mhz. Just my guess. They want to penetrate 2600 Mhz market first. That's their main objective actually. |

QUOTE(tenwei @ Jun 10 2013, 12:43 PM) anyone have try celcome LTE, how fast in Kl area? my ip5 already on 6.1.4 but never prompt out LTE configuration? why Before this I try speedtest on my iPhone 5, I always get 6.7Mbps no matter where I go (KLCC area or Damansara). Never get more speed than that.Suddenly yesterday, I doing speedtest at my home in Kota Damansara I easily get 9-11Mbps. Today I try speedtest in my office (located in KLCC area), I get 18-21Mbps all the time. I bet this could be the sign of Celcom LTE will be coming to iPhone 5. All of these tests were using Celcom 3G line yesterday speedtest at my home: host KL ![]() today speedtest at my office: host singapore ![]() This post has been edited by adiyon84: Jun 10 2013, 01:31 PM |

QUOTE(rmvalues @ Jun 16 2013, 12:16 PM) Did you receive invitation from Celcom to change the sim card or your just simply go to change the sim ? Nope, no invitation from them. Just go straight to that Blue Cube and change it for free. In fact, all eligible Celcom customer who subscribed to Postpaid plan and Mobile Internet are free to change. This is what I've been told any different the sim ? i mean like 64k, 128k or what from current nano sim ? |

QUOTE(LovelyPotato @ Jun 18 2013, 02:39 PM) Do I have to change a new SIM card for my iPhone in order to use the LTE? You can't do anything when you change to iOS 7. Even carrier version for Celcom when in iOS7 is CELCOM 14.5. Same as MAXIS. It's their software actually that prevent this from enable LTE carrier. We have to wait maybe next beta update if they can rectify this matter I've been using iOS 7 beta and my carrier setting is Maxis 14.5 and not 14.1 as I have seen from others. I have been to a lot of LTE area but it still detecting 3G network only instead of LTE. BTW my phone is not from maxis however it is model A1429 which I believe it does compatible with the LTE from maxis. Anyone having any idea on how to activate the LTE? ![]() **Edit: Just a note, my SIM card is the big size card at first, then cut it into nano sized using cutter, does it have any effect about it? |

QUOTE(hobbes1001 @ Jun 18 2013, 04:17 PM) Carrier version will be updated to 14.5 for iOS7. Tested iPhone 5 with iOS 7, supports LTE. Oh, it's different with Celcom. I've changed my 4G SIMcard last saturday and upgrade to iOS7. But it still show CELCOM 14.5. Even the toggle "Enable LTE" is not there and it shows Enable 3G.The only reason why you are not getting LTE is because you cut your sim from a full size SIM. You need to change your SIM at maxis center. Also, please ensure you are on a minimum 1GB and above data plan (postpaid only) else you will get get LTE |

QUOTE(aneip @ Jun 19 2013, 12:08 AM) I have no problem connecting to maxis LTE using IOS 7. How do you do that? My iPhone still show "Enable 3G" in iOS 7. Even before that I have update my carrier version in 6.1.4. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101...96&l=09dea29f75 QUOTE(wahizul @ Jun 19 2013, 12:22 AM) I think for ios7 users need to restore to ios6.1.4 then update carrier setting to get LTE toggle. After then update to ios7.. QUOTE(chiahau @ Jun 19 2013, 06:14 AM) I'm on iOS 7 and I'm getting LTE when I'm in coverage of LTE. I've done that too. Exactly what you say. Still not success to me Don't see a reason why iOS 7 can't use LTE. |

QUOTE(Redlynex @ Jun 26 2013, 08:30 AM) Yup, I changed both my iPad mini and iPhone 5 when first they launch last saturday. But my iPhone seems don't wanna change to LTE much and always back to 3G. Different with my iPad mini, always stay on LTE even though only get 2 bars. |
