 newbie looking for advice on buying laptop

hi there...i'm planning to buy a laptop. my budget is only rm2.2k (max) so i dun mind it's 2nd laptop. from the internet, i found out that the FTEC being offered at very attractive price although under warranty..but i oso heard that FTEC will have a lot of prob...is it true??

plz gimme some advice because i need to buy a laptop really soon..maybe by tis saturday or tomolo

FTEC dunno. It's local I think. But never really worth getting a 2nd hand one.... don't think the price difference is big enough.... my 2cents.

Yup, second the 3623... Only thing is it has no dedicated GPU, which you don't need I think. Get new better.

Between both of them,both are worth it as Ftec is only used for 6months,but for IBM,its solid and will last long.Specs Ftec is better.
For that budget its better to get Acer 3623 as its new,comes with 1 year warranty,wide screen.
Otherwise try taking a look at hyundai M-life.

Well, FTEC is quite aggressive in their marketing... I have been seeing their signboards all over PJ area... In fact, there is a large billboard promoting their PC in front of the SS2 Maybank...

But despite the affordable price, i'm sticking with my IBM for now... Since that lappie is doing well, why should i change a good thing?

Since middle of 2005... Its one of the last models under the IBM name before the change to Lenovo... Before this one, i was using a dell Inspiron that was subsequently given to my college-going bro...

if it's really work dedicated laptop, then this is a good choice i'd say. will be getting this soon for uni work alone, afterall my desktop can be used to play games...
