do we need to make a square enix account to join the beta?

After downloading the beta, I stopped playing The Last of Us.

The game looks so good on PS3!

so fast end already & can only play again next Friday?

btw, for the PS3 version, I heard subscription payment can be made with PSN cards when the game launches.

Arcanist, Summoner, and the newly announced Scholar job will be available at launch!

I am currently playing as Thaumaturge in the beta but I will change to Summoner when the game launches.

FF14 is the best MMO I have played in years. It's simply amazing to see PC & PS3 gamers playing together in the same server!

Yoshi P said during an interview that, Closed Beta Phase 3 will start off being weekends only just like previous beta rounds but will eventually open up to longer play periods by the end of phase 3.

Once Phase 4 starts, the servers will be open 24/7.

I think he will get billing problems if linked to MY PSN.

But since this is a beta, he may still be able to play.

For me, I link my SE service account with my US PSN account.

The next beta test schedule for this week will be announce tomorrow in the beta forums according to this message taken from the Japanese FFXIV twitter feed:

I already checked the beta forums & they still haven't announced the schedule for the next beta test.

it took me about 4 hours to download the client on my 4MB line.

you can only get the beta by applying for it at SE FFXIV website.

if they choose you for the beta, you download the client from US PSN.

Nice! For 3 days straight, I will do nothing but play the beta.

no. the beta client is stored in Square Enix's server & not on psn.
