QUOTE(sadaharukouya @ Aug 15 2013, 09:42 PM) Just installed the client i got from the email and downloading another one from Preordering on psn. sure is confusing though since they both have the same name and file size. better dl and try them out before 5pm tomoro just in case. if you pre-ordered the game from US PSN, you may have to download it again because sony have removed all the FF14 pre-orders from the US store because of an issue with the client.

QUOTE(akamon @ Aug 19 2013, 02:54 AM) thanks for the OP! useful stuff. quick question now: so i signed up with an NA account for the open beta. now i want to pre-order to receive the bonus headstart, as well as items and thinking of getting the CE as well. since i live in Hong Kong, i can't digitally download from SE (sadly). i know i can get it from greenmangaming, but i learnt from u guys that it's EU only. so if i bought it from greenmangaming, i'd still get the bonus items, as well as early access, but can i stil use my NA account? i assume that i'll have to start an EU account to do so. and if i do, i can still play on NA servers? thanks! you do not want to play on NA servers now because they are suffering from problems like error 90000 & error 3102. if you don't know what that means, go to the beta forum & you will see a long list of complaints about these errors. a petition to extend the beta has been initiated on the beta forum because of these bugs. QUOTE(fizyboy @ Aug 19 2013, 12:25 PM) Guys, need help.. I know its advisable to get EU region, but as i'm buying PS3 version its really troublesome for me. 1. Easiest way is to get the EU boxed set from local sellers, but it doesn't come with pre-order bonuses, I want those 2. Buying digitally from EU PSN store is one option, but its really hard to get EU PSN Prepaid Cards 3. I have PS Plus on my US account, so would be good if the patch can be downloaded automatically if I buy the game in US region.. plus I do have some account balance left on the account My SquareEnix account for open beta is US region, seems like can register credit card payment option there.. will I be able to use Malaysian Credit Card to pay subscription fees (if I dont mind the slight difference in price)?. Thanks in advance. If your CC is accepted then you should be able to pay the subscription fee. Did you try to register your CC already?

Beta Test Extended for Worlds Hosted on the NA and EU Datacenter. QUOTE We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter which is preventing certain characters from logging into the game.
An emergency maintenance, taking place between Aug. 18, 2013 9:30 p.m. to Aug. 19, 2013 12:30 a.m. (PDT), is currently underway to address characters experiencing this issue.
Phase 4 of the Beta Test was originally scheduled to conclude on Aug. 19, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT). However, given the fact that affected characters are numbering in the tens of thousands and the time it will take to address the situation including the time required for the emergency maintenance, we will be extending the Beta Test until Aug. 19, 2013 8:00 a.m. (PDT) for Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter. http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Test/thre...124#post1292124If you are playing on NA servers, the beta will be extended until 11PM tonight.

QUOTE(Spitfire_Flame @ Aug 20 2013, 10:48 AM) I'm interested in playing this and since everyone is going for EU region. My question is...if I get PS3 FFXIV R2, am I able to sync my character with the EU region on the pc version? Not everyone is going for EU region. I will be on US account. Everyone going EU because they think it's cheaper to pay sub fees with pound sterling. But the exchange rate is like a fickle lady on PMS. Sooner or later EU won't be so cheap anymore. To answer your question: QUOTE It is possible to play with the same account on both Windows and PlayStation 3 platforms. Customers who own a copy of FFXIV for Windows and wish to use their account on the PlayStation 3 version will need to purchase a copy of the PlayStation 3 version. It will then be possible to use your characters on either platform by tying your existing service account to the PlayStation 3 version upon launching it for the first time. Similarly, customers who own a copy of FFXIV for PlayStation 3 and wish to use their account on the Windows version will need to purchase a copy of the Windows version. However, please note that your account will only be able to log into one platform at a time. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/product/

QUOTE(Spitfire_Flame @ Aug 20 2013, 11:00 AM) Thanks for the answer... Lucky I manage to grab a copy of the CE for ps3..but do I still need to get the CE in digital or just get the normal digital will do? If you already have a disc copy of the game, you should be good to go. No need to get digital version. This post has been edited by nwk: Aug 20 2013, 11:07 AM

QUOTE(Spitfire_Flame @ Aug 20 2013, 11:05 AM) oops...I think I said something wrong there on the digital copy. the digital copy is for the PC version which I still need to purchase it as I'm getting the disc for PS3 If you already have a copy of the game for PS3, I think normal digital version for pc can do already. I am not too sure about this because I plan to play only on PS3.

QUOTE(Spitfire_Flame @ Aug 20 2013, 11:10 AM) Lol....if my PSN acct is on asia, will it be able to connect to the US server or I still need to login using my US PSN Sorry for all the question as I'm really a noob to this Your Square Enix account is tied to your PSN account. So it is highly recommended to play on the same region as your Square Enix account. That means if you have a US Square Enix account, you should play the game on your US PSN account. QUOTE(uk9089 @ Aug 21 2013, 12:54 AM) If I create 1 psn US account and purchase FFXIV online via digital (PS Store). Can i use on my HK psn which i've been using for 5 years to play? I don't like to change new psn due to my old psn has tons of friends. I already bought the game on US PSN but my main PSN account is US. So there's no problem for me. I am not sure if you can play on your HK PSN account or not but during the beta, there were some people using Asia PSN accounts to play. Like I said before, your square enix account will be linked to your PSN account. So it's highly advisible to use the same region account to play. btw, buying the game from PSN will grant you early access to the servers on August 24. QUOTE(fizyboy @ Aug 21 2013, 05:02 PM) I prefer PS3 version but have to make do with PC ver because GMG only sell digital Here's my post about the difference of both versions: buy at greenmangaming.com with the following 25% discount coupon : GMG25-OGRUH-7SM8H Pre-ordering the PS3 digital version from PSN also gets you early access to the game & you don't have to key in any pre-order codes like PC version which saves you a lot of trouble because I heard the pre-order server is jammed with thousands of people trying to key in their codes at the same time. With PS3 digital, everything is done automatically for you by PSN. All you have to do is wait for early access to start & you can play already. I also have my own TV in my room & I don't have to worry about anyone wanting to watch some boring soap opera when I want to play games.

QUOTE(shojikun @ Aug 21 2013, 05:24 PM) actually i too want PS3 version but i will wait for PS4!! RAWR! you always say you want ps3 version. good luck waiting for ps4 version to come out because Yoshida says his core market are the PC & PS3 gamers right now. That's where the main source of his income is & ps4 is a low priority for him. expect to wait until 2015 or later for ps4 version. by the time it comes out, FF XIV would have gone to ver 3.0 already. QUOTE(shojikun @ Aug 21 2013, 07:51 PM) he say PS4 2014 in the mean time i will play on my PC/Laptop ;D SE has a reputation of delaying games. He may say 2014, but his boss at SE can say 2015. Look what happen to Versus13. Delay until become FF15. anyway, I don't care much about ps4 because it's launch games all suck. my only reason to get one is FF15. Right now, I am going to enjoy FF14 on PS3. If it ever comes to PS4, I will get that too. This post has been edited by nwk: Aug 21 2013, 08:01 PM

Major traffic jam during EA is expected: QUOTE We are expecting major congestion during the period starting with the Early Access on Aug. 24, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) leading up to the official game launch on Aug. 27, 2013 (PDT).
If a large volume of players attempt to login to the game simultaneously, certain players may receive the following message: “This World is currently full. Players in queue: ##.” If you receive this message, we ask that you please wait until your login is processed.
In addition, in order to avoid server congestion related issues from multiple characters concentrating in the starting areas, we may implement restrictions on logins and/or the creation of new characters for a period of time after the servers open to the public.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Test/thre...819#post13398192 more days to go for EA! btw, for those who want to get the PS3 digital version, it's still available on US PSN & there's no need to key in any pre-order codes. Everything is automatically set up for you by PSN.

QUOTE(wicked_weeknd @ Aug 23 2013, 11:21 AM) Preordered with Qisahn and just received hard copy of FFXIV PS3 (UK) Standard Edition. They just received stock yesterday, so delivery was quite fast. Note: No Early Access. (got it from GMG instead with PC Digital Order) Early access for hard copy of FFXIV is only available from US/EU retailers. If you want EA for your PS3, get the digital version from US PSN. I got mine already with preorder bonus.
