Just installed the client i got from the email and downloading another one from Preordering on psn. sure is confusing though since they both have the same name and file size. better dl and try them out before 5pm tomoro just in case.

so i signed up with an NA account for the open beta. now i want to pre-order to receive the bonus headstart, as well as items and thinking of getting the CE as well.

since i live in Hong Kong, i can't digitally download from SE (sadly). i know i can get it from greenmangaming, but i learnt from u guys that it's EU only. so if i bought it from greenmangaming, i'd still get the bonus items, as well as early access, but can i stil use my NA account? i assume that i'll have to start an EU account to do so.

and if i do, i can still play on NA servers?

Guys, need help.. I know its advisable to get EU region, but as i'm buying PS3 version its really troublesome for me.

1. Easiest way is to get the EU boxed set from local sellers, but it doesn't come with pre-order bonuses, I want those
2. Buying digitally from EU PSN store is one option, but its really hard to get EU PSN Prepaid Cards
3. I have PS Plus on my US account, so would be good if the patch can be downloaded automatically if I buy the game in US region.. plus I do have some account balance left on the account

My SquareEnix account for open beta is US region, seems like can register credit card payment option there.. will I be able to use Malaysian Credit Card to pay subscription fees (if I dont mind the slight difference in price)?.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter which is preventing certain characters from logging into the game.

An emergency maintenance, taking place between Aug. 18, 2013 9:30 p.m. to Aug. 19, 2013 12:30 a.m. (PDT), is currently underway to address characters experiencing this issue.

Phase 4 of the Beta Test was originally scheduled to conclude on Aug. 19, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT). However, given the fact that affected characters are numbering in the tens of thousands and the time it will take to address the situation including the time required for the emergency maintenance, we will be extending the Beta Test until Aug. 19, 2013 8:00 a.m. (PDT) for Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter.

I'm interested in playing this and since everyone is going for EU region.

My question is...if I get PS3 FFXIV R2, am I able to sync my character with the EU region on the pc version?

It is possible to play with the same account on both Windows and PlayStation 3 platforms. Customers who own a copy of FFXIV for Windows and wish to use their account on the PlayStation 3 version will need to purchase a copy of the PlayStation 3 version. It will then be possible to use your characters on either platform by tying your existing service account to the PlayStation 3 version upon launching it for the first time. Similarly, customers who own a copy of FFXIV for PlayStation 3 and wish to use their account on the Windows version will need to purchase a copy of the Windows version. However, please note that your account will only be able to log into one platform at a time.

Lucky I manage to grab a copy of the CE for ps3..but do I still need to get the CE in digital or just get the normal digital will do?

oops...I think I said something wrong there on the digital copy. the digital copy is for the PC version which I still need to purchase it as I'm getting the disc for PS3

Can i use on my HK psn which i've been using for 5 years to play? I don't like to change new psn due to my old psn has tons of friends.

I prefer PS3 version but have to make do with PC ver because GMG only sell digital
