omega v20. rock solid stable
I'm going to flash my brother's S2 (NON-G).
I've been reading Omega installation guide, but it doesn't say anything about flashing from stock ICS or stock JB.

Right now I'm on DXLPF (ICS 4.0.4) rooted with PhilZ kernel.

Do I have to flash official stock JB first or just go straight to CWM and flash Omega V20?
This is my first time flashing S2.
If I have to flash JB first, which one do I flash? There are multiple XWLSD from within samfirmware.com sweat.gif

Before this I've only flashed my Note 1.
And for Note 1, most custom ROMS provide guide from installing Stock ICS / Stock JB.

Thus the reason why I'm a little bit confused.

Please help. icon_question.gif

No need so troublesome. Just flash Omega straight away. But u need to do nandroid & full wipe  (data/cache/dalvic).
& format system. Good luck. smile.gif
Already did it last night, but I did it the safe way:
1. Format MicroSD & Format USB Storage
2. Flash to XWLSD Nordic Countries + PhilZ-cwm6-XWLSE-OXE-4.64-signed. (Thankfully, no bootloop, so no need to flash the fixed version)
3. Wipe everything
4. Flash Omega v20 with the least bloated software as possible.

Phone is working perfectly. Although the battery consumption is a bit, err..... quite heavy.
Even heavier than my G Note 1. Both on custom JB 4.1.2. sweat.gif

Guys, what is the most stable custom ICS rom for S II non-G?

Tried looking for a stable CM9, but in CyanogenMod, Stable CM9 is only available for I9100G.

Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (Omega v20) battery consumption is too high.
So thought of going back to ICS.
But I've never flashed Custom ICS on my girlfriend's SII.

Need some input.

Maybe u need to freeze/uninstall bloatwares.
I did.
When installing the ROM, I didn't install anything that my girlfriend doesn't use.

So, what's the most stable custom ICS ROM for Galaxy S II non-G? smile.gif

Found this in CM10.1 discussion thread:

Open the console and type
CODE
su

bUtTeR ON

Be carrefull, the code is case sensitive. Reboot the phone 3 times and voila, your phone is butterized. And it seems it increases the battery life by 20%

Now, my question: REALLY? shocking.gif

PS: That's a real question, not sarcasm.

guys how much will i need to pay if my s2 board is broken sad.gif no warranty left
Not worth it.
You can either buy a 2nd hand unit / buy a new phone instead.
But you can still sell your faulty S2 for about RM100 ~ RM150. smile.gif

lol u mean is inside the phone component or the battery alone?
It's on the motherboard.
It's practically the same as the CMOS battery on any computer motherboard. Except the size differences.

If you're the type of people who needs tutorial for flashing, then please don't flash.
Flashing is not for people whose TOO LAZY to do extensive reading & research.

If your S2 is still under warranty, just go to their service center & ask them to replace it.

Has anyone tested playing Need For Speed Most Wanted in the latest nightly?
Did the latest Mali driver fix the issue?

I've read the Galaxy S2 CM10.1 disucssion thread in XDA, some say yes, some say no. sweat.gif
