Update through Kies no need to do so.
Normally is wipe before update.
You can wipe afterwards if you want a fresh start.

Hey guys, i need to send my s2 back to warranty. Runnning P.A.C rom now.

So I downloaded triangle away, but I'm still a little hazy on the steps.

Should I use triangle away, then flash back to stock firmwares via odin?(tried to get it from samfirmware but I'm not sure which one)
*
Do you have a USB jib? Works much better.
Flash back to stock firmware and kernel, then plug in the jig, will reset your counter and remove triangle.

I'll get one smile.gif  I thought flashing back to stock rom won't increase the counter? Kernal wise, its running cm10,1's kernal. how do i flash back to stock kernals?
*
If you flash via Odin the stock firmware already comes with the kernel so there is no need to flash the kernel separately.

Any flashing done via Odin will increase the counter, no matter stock or custom.

5" screen is still big for me. i prefer 4.9" and below la to call it a phone. if big then better call it note la.huhuhu
*
LOL will that 0.1" makes so much different?
To me, the bigger screen won't affect much if the bezel is not so big.

Hi, I just download [Stock Official Firmwares] I9100XWLSE (4.1.2) - Russia (SER) [22-02-13] from
http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...d.php?t=1544487 and i only done step 1 as below

1. Instructions For Flashing Firmware:

    Extract the firmware
    Open the included Odin
    Turn off your device
Put your device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power)
    Click PDA and select *.tar.md5
    Then finally click START!

Do I need to Changing CSC as instruct below

Instructions For Changing CSC:

Download Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC app from the Play Store
Open Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC app
    Tap "Change CSC" button
Select the CSC for you Country
Tap "Install" button (Keep in mind changing CSC wipes your device)

Already flash the firmware and everything look solid. After that do I need to change CSC. Does it necessary? blink.gif
*
Not necessary if everything works perfectly fine.

you can try the 1850mAH from sunglobal.. tho i didnt buy, but it has a larger capacity from the original battery. nod.gif
if you gonna get back a 1650mAH battery. i'd suggest you get one from brotan. (i was also recommended to get one from him here)
battery's pretty good.

*
I'm using the 1850mAh from Sunglobal since my stock battery bloated.
The battery life is the same as the 1650mAh from Samsung if not lesser.

I would vouch for WanamLite ROM for a JellyBean stock ROM.
Stable and good battery life as compared to AOKP and AOSP out there.

wanam?
that kosong rom? isnt omega/alliance rom got more feature?

actually all samsung based rom as long dont use custom kernel will be very stable and good battery life.
i use disaster/omega/alliance/neat before, all same only to me.

for quite some time now using chameleon rom.
my favourite rom. aokp looks, but underneath is samsung based rom.
the main reason i stick to this instead of other samsung rom, is the holo theme style, and aokp custom lockscreen, with working hdmi port and wifi direct.
*
I was on Chameleon 2 before this, Chameleon is still better but I get bored on ICS and want to try stock JB for a bit.
Seems like Chameleon 3 has some problems so I just use Wanam for the time being. smile.gif

the rom i use was last updated on feb 8.
not an issue until now. never plan to change also.

i feel more like a causal user rather than an explorer now.
no more stress and worry updates or craving for features. peace icon_idea.gif

It's a sign that signals you it's time to change a new phone biggrin.gif

hi all bro and sis, i need help here, recently i just root my galaxy s2 i9100 from 2.3.3 to 4.1.2, it used to be work on every sim card, but after root, it was sim network locked.... its my first day on android , i think the original stock rom was not backup, so any solution for me, please help, any shop doing service for this?
*
Go to XDA and download any stock ROM and reflash.
Or you can use other modem/baseband and flash the baseband is enough.

Hi guys,

I want to know why some Galaxy S2 i9100 have the Samsung text on the front panel and some don't?  Is this have to do with the origin of the phone?
*
Those that don't have are very old prototype and pre-release model.

How many of your have change the battery before?
Mine and my gf one also encounter bloated battery, both change to Sun Global 1850mAh, but the battery life is around the same as original Samsung.
