Have anyone experienced the S3 screen just cracked out of nowhere? (no fall , didnt sit on it)

It was fine when i went out and take pictures at the beach. Once i came home, placed the phone on the room table and went for a shower. Came back and my phone had 2 hairline fracture.

Going to maxis to get it replaced, but i am expecting that they will push the blame on me for physically abusing it.

Thanks. From what I read on some other forum. This problem is quite common, factory defect? Or the glass is not tempered well.?
So far Samsung has denied any defect, thus its not under their warranty. So my only hope is with maxis right now.
