It is custom rom better than stock?wanam rom can change the battery and signal icon to blue color?boot to CWM then wipe data only flash?

I juz flash my i9305 with custom rom and kernel is still stock.now everytime i boot up got red dot at top left hand side.i try use triangle away but never work.so any others solution?
