I'm not sure whether this problem is on TMNet's side or Xbox's server side.

I have trouble with Xbox Live. I can't sign in into my Xbox Live on my Xbox 360. When I go to my profile at Xbox.com, I can sign in into my Xbox Live account, but whenever I want to do something (add friend, send message, etc) I'll get this error:

QUOTE(marauderz @ Sep 14 2006, 01:17 AM) that should be error on the server side. Guess if u still can't login in the morning maybe u might want to drop a mail? Still can't connect to Xbox Live for the past 2 days, the weird thing is, I tested my connection to Xbox Live on the System blade and passed everything. I've sent a mail to Xbox Live customer support, waiting for their reply. |

Finally I can connect to Xbox Live, but strangely, all my friends in my friend list is offline. It's weird considering that I always have at least 2 - 3 friends online at any moment. Maybe the problem is on Xbox's server side and not TMNet's fault?
My free 1 month gold trial has expired. QUOTE Microsoft sued over Xbox Live This post has been edited by mzaidi: Sep 14 2006, 11:52 AMA CASE has arisen in a Texas district court alleging Microsoft breached patents over multiplayer games this week. Delaware plaintiff Paltalk Holdings Inc alleges Microsoft has breached its patents relating to methods and systems for communicating over networks. It said in its filing this week that "multiplayer games conducted over wide area networks generally involve difficult technical issues" because all players need to see the same place at the same time. Patent number 5,822,523 has been breached by Microsoft, Paltalk alleges. This patent is called "Server Group messaging for interactive applications". Paltalk wants damages to be awarded and the usual other penalties Source |

A question here, Silver member can't send text message to other member in their friend's list?
My Gold membership just expired (haven't renew) and just no I tried to send a text message to a friend and I get "Message could not be sent" error. Is it because I'm a Silver member or because TMNut's crappy connection? |

QUOTE(Hitman190 @ Oct 3 2006, 07:47 PM) Now thats just the half of it. What i want to know is once you dont pay your subscription does Microsoft cancel your whole account??? 1) If you didn't pay your subscription, your account will be converted to Silver membership. They won't cancel your account.Secondly i cant do any friend requests on the xbox.com website. So incik fizan its not my fault. I will add you to my list ASAP. my router still being fixed. But thing is i cant wait for all the live enabled games coming out this holiday season. 2) I have that problem before too. I sent an e-mail to Xbox customer support, and they fixed the problem. |

Xbox Live Gold Members Getting Free Content First
The latest ad for Epic's Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War available for download on Xbox Live has also heralded in an apparent policy shift on Live account levels, according to comments by Microsoft employees. As brought to light in a follow-up comment on Microsoft staffer Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb's weblog on the ad, members currently accessing Live at the 'silver' level currently will not be able to access the trailer, while 'gold' level members are free to download the item. "So here is the deal," commented Hyrb, "Silver members WILL get access to this, probably in about a week." He continued, "This is going to happen more and more (Gold getting things before Silver) so you may want to think about upgrading if you want all the latest and greatest trailers, demos etc." In its previous configuration, 'silver' Xbox Live members had concurrent access to all of the same free and purchasable content as users of its subscription based 'gold' level, but were prohibited from using Live for multiplayer gaming. As was made apparent in Hyrb's comment, the Gears download seems poised to bring in a new shift in Live, whereby 'gold' members enjoy more premium-level access to content before their counterparts. However, no further official statement on the policy or specific items to receive Gold access first has yet been made by Microsoft. Source |

QUOTE(MK84 @ Oct 29 2006, 01:42 PM) Try a few times, and don't add other downloads to the queue. It failed when I queue a few downloads together. Works fine when it's on its own. I tried that and it still won't work. Other demo downloads just fine except for R6V. I'm thinking of skipping the demo and just buy the full game. I just found out that you can play Kameo-themed deck in Uno for "free". Just find anybody online with Kameo deck and play a match wih him/her and the deck will be downloaded into your Xbox 360.
This way you can play for free, but if you want to play Kameo deck in offline mode, you still have to buy the deck for 100 MS Points. |

QUOTE(hikaru_x @ Nov 7 2006, 10:40 AM) Peter Moore announced full version of TV and movies coming to the marketplace From the montage at xbox.com, an episode of CSI New York cost 240 MS Points. SD Version is 556 MB, and HD version is 2GB. source: MajorNelson.com watch the demo video: xbox.com Batman Forever cost 320 MS Points to "rent" and SD version is 1.3GB, while HD version is 5.4 GB. 20GB HDD seems small now. Hope the service will be available to non-US Xbox Live account holder too. * Just noticed that they mentioned the word "rent" in the montage. This means that you have 14 days to view them after you downloaded them, and once you played the video, it'll expire within 24 hours. This post has been edited by mzaidi: Nov 7 2006, 11:01 AM |

QUOTE(hikaru_x @ Nov 7 2006, 11:03 AM) they only mentioned rental on the movies, but do u think the same would be applied to TV shows? i hope not. too bad no ABC, i'm a LOST freak Quote from Xbox.comQUOTE Beginning Nov. 22, on its first anniversary, Xbox 360 will be the first gaming console in history to provide high-definition TV shows and movies directly to gamers in their living rooms. Xbox 360 gamers will have access to the full-length TV shows as downloads to own and movies to rent via download from the Xbox Live(R) network, the worldwide leader in online distribution of high-definition gaming and entertainment content. So this means that the rental only applies to movies and not TV Show. QUOTE "REDMOND, Wash. - Nov. 6, 2006 - Microsoft Corp. today announced agreements with CBS, MTV Networks, Paramount Pictures, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to bring an initial lineup of over 1,000 hours of hit TV shows and movies to Xbox 360(tm) gamers in the U.S. by the end of the year." Sounds like it's US only (or those with US Xbox Live account) This post has been edited by mzaidi: Nov 7 2006, 11:10 AM |

Major Nelson said that the pricing for Movie & TV Series seen in the screenshots & video montage is not final.
QUOTE To be clear, any pricing you may see in screen shots etc. are not final prices...once we get final pricing, I'll let you know. Source |
