I have trouble with Xbox Live. I can't sign in into my Xbox Live on my Xbox 360. When I go to my profile at Xbox.com, I can sign in into my Xbox Live account, but whenever I want to do something (add friend, send message, etc) I'll get this error:



I'm not sure whether this problem is on TMNet's side or Xbox's server side.

Still can't connect to Xbox Live for the past 2 days, the weird thing is, I tested my connection to Xbox Live on the System blade and passed everything.

I've sent a mail to Xbox Live customer support, waiting for their reply.

Finally I can connect to Xbox Live, but strangely, all my friends in my friend list is offline. It's weird considering that I always have at least 2 - 3 friends online at any moment. Maybe the problem is on Xbox's server side and not TMNet's fault?

My free 1 month gold trial has expired. I wanted to get 1 year subscription (since it's cheaper than paying monthly) but I don't have the cash now. Saving the money for SCDA:LE.

Now my Xbox Live disconnects every time I play a retail game. It'll only stay connected when I'm on the dasboard.

^ Well, I hope it's a problem on TMNet's side and not because Microsoft banning us from their server for providing them fake address during Xbox Live registration.

A question here, Silver member can't send text message to other member in their friend's list?

My Gold membership just expired (haven't renew) and just no I tried to send a text message to a friend and I get "Message could not be sent" error. Is it because I'm a Silver member or because TMNut's crappy connection?

So it's TMNut's problem and not because of my membership's status.

1) If you didn't pay your subscription, your account will be converted to Silver membership. They won't cancel your account.

2) I have that problem before too. I sent an e-mail to Xbox customer support, and they fixed the problem.

Xbox Live Gold Members Getting Free Content First

The latest ad for Epic's Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War available for download on Xbox Live has also heralded in an apparent policy shift on Live account levels, according to comments by Microsoft employees.

As brought to light in a follow-up comment on Microsoft staffer Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb's weblog on the ad, members currently accessing Live at the 'silver' level currently will not be able to access the trailer, while 'gold' level members are free to download the item.

"So here is the deal," commented Hyrb, "Silver members WILL get access to this, probably in about a week." He continued, "This is going to happen more and more (Gold getting things before Silver) so you may want to think about upgrading if you want all the latest and greatest trailers, demos etc."

In its previous configuration, 'silver' Xbox Live members had concurrent access to all of the same free and purchasable content as users of its subscription based 'gold' level, but were prohibited from using Live for multiplayer gaming.

As was made apparent in Hyrb's comment, the Gears download seems poised to bring in a new shift in Live, whereby 'gold' members enjoy more premium-level access to content before their counterparts. However, no further official statement on the policy or specific items to receive Gold access first has yet been made by Microsoft.

I'm having the same problem too. I don't have problem downloading other thing, just R6V.

I tried that and it still won't work. Other demo downloads just fine except for R6V. I'm thinking of skipping the demo and just buy the full game.

I just found out that you can play Kameo-themed deck in Uno for "free". Just find anybody online with Kameo deck and play a match wih him/her and the deck will be downloaded into your Xbox 360.

This way you can play for free, but if you want to play Kameo deck in offline mode, you still have to buy the deck for 100 MS Points.

From the montage at xbox.com, an episode of CSI New York cost 240 MS Points. SD Version is 556 MB, and HD version is 2GB.

Batman Forever cost 320 MS Points to "rent" and SD version is 1.3GB, while HD version is 5.4 GB. 20GB HDD seems small now.

Hope the service will be available to non-US Xbox Live account holder too.

* Just noticed that they mentioned the word "rent" in the montage. This means that you have 14 days to view them after you downloaded them, and once you played the video, it'll expire within 24 hours.
