VLC Player. One of the best media players out there. Simple and light.

You can find experimental version here for vlc, though i wouldn't suggest it. You won't notice a lot of difference between 32 and 64 bit imo

I've been using MPC-HC with CCCP codec for years, not a single prob so far. Before that, I used VLC, but found that it couldn't embed proper sub styling from my videos.

yup, the same problem goes to me before
got their W8 kickstarter project which embbed new tile/metro style unto..
but realize that im not used to open any software via the tile itself

BTW, ive always use KMplayer alot more since before
that "Autohide" GUI on new patch really got me this time

~nope, ALMOST any player work fine with any format when CODEC INSTALLED

but with KMPLAYER, I could always press
- J to bookmark file
- [ / ] to resync back subtitle
- ALT+D to autoplay DVD *Im not turning ON autoplay for any external drive
-feature to always top AllTime/WhilePlay really help

+1 same here. Since switching to CCCP I'd never looked back, plays almost everything that I'd throws at it
