Juventus have sold Alessandro Matri to Milan for approximately €11m, as confirmed by Milan Channel.
The deal had been in the works for some time, but negotiations stepped up a gear after the Rossoneri qualified for the Champions League group phase last night.
This evening Milan Channel celebrated the move by flashing this message: ‘Matri. Welcome back Alessandro.’
That’s because Matri grew up in the Milan youth academy, but was loaned out to several sides before his sale to Cagliari in July 2007 for €2.3m.
It is believed the deal was done for €11m, slightly less than the €12m asking price. The 29-year-old will undergo a medical on Friday.
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani had confirmed last night that Coach Massimiliano Allegri requested a new centre-forward.
It is not clear when Giampaolo Pazzini will return from injury after his knee surgery in May.
With Matri's arrival, Milan also loan Andrea Petagna to Sampdoria.
Still im against this transfer,Petagna deserved a place to growth with Milan...haihz. Welcome back home Matri.

Big no for me man,Kaka is finished without pace and monto need a vice to anchor the midfield,hence De Jong suits better with him together,but Honda is a good partner to link up midfield with forward.Honda gonna play as trequarista when he's coming.
So, can UEFA do better if they wanna "cheat" in drawing the group stage?
Now i've felt like we are favoured this kind of draw because of current lack attendance in san siro stadium.The only game we got fullhouse & bigger margin profit when only against big team in ucl like barca.

Milan have agreed to exchange Luca Antonini with Genoa midfielder Valter Birsa.
Both players have signed three-year contracts as part of the permanent switch.
Antonini also confirmed the news this afternoon by retweeting messages of good luck for his ‘new adventure,' while Birsa has been logged as a Milan player on the Lega Serie A site.
Full-back Antonini had already been linked with Sampdoria and several Turkish clubs over the last few days, but Genoa have won the race.
Birsa is a valuable addition to the Rossoneri midfield and the Slovenian already passed a medical.
The exchange with Genoa was to have involved Milan’s Bakaye Traorè, but he seems to have been ruled out of negotiations.

Milan defender bit shaky , central defender like zapata, Mexes, need to work hard ,
Seriously I have no idea either, just because we like to nurture player, and then sell off... The boss just lost interest in the club I think? Or is he expecting miracle like buying a bicycle but wanted speed of aeroplane?
Most nowadays defender are unlike Maldini style, which is positioning defense > tackle...
