Hi
Has anyone applied for transfer credit to a University in UK through UCAS?

Please help me out. I went to the website and registered. Then they gave me an online form. The thing is, there's no place to include our results or other documents (since it's online).

Help?

Silent_scream, which university are you applying to?
Eventhough that university is affilated with your college, you still have to apply through UCAS. (just that it will be easier)
Well, if your institution has university placement office, maybe you can ask the officer there. If you don't have it there, try search for the university branch in Malaysia. Well, if you need most UK universities are handled by MABECS (located in PJ)
I did a credit transfer as well from INTI COllege Subang Jaya.
Well first of all, I emailed universities that I am interested at, asking them if they allow credit transfer or not. Once they have replied, try to search more on the university. After that, apply through UCAS. It's not too late to apply now.

I've done all that. smile.gif
My main concern now is the online form from the UCAS website

Ok, thanx.

Another thing, did any of u find any difficulty in completing the "Statement" part? It seems so important, I'm afraid I'll screw things up. Based on your experience, is it really, really important to "sell yourself" in tat Statement?

And the "Reference" from the referee, is it a must? I mean, I don't think any lecturers know me that well. All they can talk about would be my academic performance.

The personal statement is the only way the admission officers can connect to you since you won't be interviewed and all. So it is as crucial as your results if you are aiming a place in competitive universities.

If you are apply through UCAS, you can't run away from it, your teacher/tutor must write something about you.

Are you applying as a freshman or a transfer?

the statement part is important. it is important to show that u know about the course and firm about studying it, and also that u know what u are getting into. it could be the difference between getting the course and not getting it.

just as an example, me and my cousin(1 yr behind me) applied for the same course and for 1 of the uni, we had the same choise. i got the offer and he get rejected although his AS results are better than mine.

as for reference, it is a must. get your tutor to write something on it as long its not something negative... tongue.gif

My old UCAS thread is gone. sad.gif

Haha...anywayz, to those who have applied thru UCAS before, is it done entirely online?

2ndly, for the Reference part, we just ask a referee to write, then we just cut and paste it there, rite?

The reason is, I called up the regional office of the Uni I'm applying to and the lady confused me. She said she's not sure (right, and they are supposed to help us), but she says we are supposed to give our username and password to the referee so he/she can log in to type it out. blink.gif
