The OP transformation is a bit simple...just twist forward the hand, pop up the head and flip the leg downwards..and you get the robot mode.
Was the original Energon/Superlink tranformation really that simple?? Even my 3 year old son can transform it. Just felt 'cheated' coz paid SGD100 for such a simple toy.
I also own the snake year optimus, and Yap, memang like that.. though the original one came with chest light and sounds, on the new one they completely remove the gimmick.. You can see under prime's butt, there is originally a battery compartment, but now sealed with a dead screw.. and the LED hole in his chest is left empty without any LEDs..
You are paying that much basically for the 'exclusive snake year edition' status it has and also for the very nice packaging. I believe the original takara version got nicer colours and chrome some more, but that one know is almost rm500 IF you can find one.. The snake year version is supposed to be homaging G1 optimus prime's colours..

Snake Omega Supreme is hardly g1 accurate. In g1, he has orange claws with 3 'claw fingers'. Its more wfc game accurate. Even his bio on the box defined him as wfc omega.
Omega Supreme is really a beautifully engineered bot. "To each his own". Regardless of whether Omega is G1 or WFC design, he's huge. Isn't Project Genesis supposed to be homage to G1 Omega Supreme? Now that's a beauty in its own way.
that one is accurate, got base mode, wonderful gimmicks, but... not so beauty on the wallet..
i've heard that mp05 has chrome fading issues as well? this is the only mp i've afraid to own due to the problems i've heard
yap, cosmic rust on his diecast parts.. due to oxidization.. if you buy one misb dont expect it to be bling2.. as long as it has been in contact with air, it will oxidize.. online people say can be easily cleaned by brasso, but i never bothered..
is there an article that talks about the fading and rusting? i wanna share with a friend of mine who's got his MP05 recently for his info and attention

Guys, quick question here, why do reviewers keep saying that there is a price difference of around 200 to 300 usd between maketoys giant and tfc hercules? ive looked around and noticed that theyre around the same price.. blame scalpers?
I think what they did with soundwave's face is brilliant! Explains his voice in G1 and its actually normal for him since he transforms into a tape deck.. genius..
This is why i love peaugh.. His reviews tend to be fair and straightforward with minimal nitpicking.. have a look at this review of his on blitzwing.. not too bad after all..
