we can register asia 3ds at the eshop..but we cant get enjoy the free promotion. i read ur faq abt eshop n i thought the limitation is only applicable for the physical stuff n the credit card usage. other than tat, we can still buy the digital games n download demo....so i would assume we can get to enjoy the current pokemon xy promotion as well.

n i think it doesnt state explicitly only for NA 3ds...

less like our fren here who claimed his 3ds has the club nintendo card...which im not quite sure wat difference it made. does the registration ask for the club nintendo card info?

Also, you are registering with Club Nintendo to get a code to be used in the E Shop. The thing is, there's nothing in the Malaysia, Singapore or even Middle East E Shop anyways. You would not be redeeming since theer's nothing in there.

Btw, go check the last point in the Club Nintendo Pokemon XY promo. It's at the bottom of the page.

another question from the newbie:
if i wanna use credit card to purchase something from the eshop...i need to set my region to Canada.

any other complications im not aware of? is there any other hidden or visible charges im not aware besides the cost of the game im purchasing? the cost of the item is in USD currency right? or Canada currency?

2. You need to begin with a US region of a game or console. For Malaysians (as of the date of the FAQ being published), it’s easier to begin with the WiiU, followed by the 3DS XL, and then the games. Ok, supposingly the games are easier to start with, but lets not raise suspicion by just a registering a US game out of nowhere and NEVER BUYING A CONSOLE. Sounds odd don’t it?

Not sure, but I think it should work though. I mean, don't they ever anticipate that people sometimes buy games only first, and then wait for some promotion on the console?

EDIT: well, if a club ninty acc is banned because of that, just make a new acc & de-link from the eshop

not really.. i think because club nintendo is not required in order to make purchase in eshop...
for NNID i am not sure ...
the only way to remove nnid for 3ds is perform a system reset which will remove everything and there will be no way to recover ur eshop purchase
