QUOTE(neo0915 @ Feb 6 2013, 06:05 PM) NFC tiles is something like a commander tat informs ur phone to perform some tasks... Thanks for the brief my friend. i know what it is. just asking if any users using it, and how do they use it in their daily lifes. For example, u can stick a NFC tile in ur car & use it to turn off ur phone data, turn on GPS, turn on Bluetooth (pair with headset) bla bla bla... Another example, u stick in ur house, when u back from work, jz use the NFC tile to turn on ur phone wifi, turn off GPS/bluetooth/mobile data, play music bla bla bla... |

QUOTE(joytest @ Feb 13 2013, 03:22 PM) ok all (including lurkers), please contribute to the discussion. It shouldn't be the case that the top 5 posters account for >50% of posts. To all fellow users. i enjoy reading the discussion and learning at the same time. This should be a meritocratic discussion of the phone features and usage, and the occasional friendly debate. Let's keep this as a top 10 forum in LYN. Looking at the velocity of this GN2 thread, it has maintained its momentum compared to even the newest hot phones despite being 4 months on the market. But we were to actually help each other, i would like to request the full support of the seniors / pro / tweakers to help and not give a cold shoulder. If someone new post a question that has been answered, we should politely inform them and not shut them down. We should invite good questions, how ? but giving each other some space to grow and learn. I barely joined this forum by margin of months, but i can already sense the guys that are always cocky, show off, never help but always want to discuss issues on tweaks and etc. Sometime light discussion or topics should be invited to bring some harmony and show that we are balanced. i take myself as a example, i posted a few times, but barely received supports. (Thanks to those who helped) I would like the person who read this to RISE UP & MATURE and help each other solve problems and discuss rather than discriminate and push the new guys down to the point they don't want to join the team and contribute. I hope nothing but peace and joyful moments here. Cheers. |

QUOTE(Positron @ Feb 13 2013, 04:25 PM) I just visited a showroom for the note 2.. Probably your screen protector too thick / covering the proximity sensor ?And I decided to fiddle with the Note 2. Yeah, the condition of the note 2 there are terrible, as many people had been fiddling with it.. The S Pen felt very soft, I guess it had been worn off already, but still smooth to write.. One thing that caught my attention is the feature called the Quick Glance.. I locked the phone, and I waved my hands across the proximity sensors.. I was shocked as it only took about no more than a second to wake up... I don't know why my note 2 cannot wake up that fast, even more so sometimes can't even respond.. I checked the firmware, its the latest 4.1.2.. But what did they do so that the quick glance feature really meant "QUICK" in every sense of the meaning instead of just a name? Try cleaning it. restart your phone. I had the same issue. Now its working just fine. Hoped i helped. |

Hey guys. I am now interested to play games and watch movies on External screens. I have a projector using a VGA cable.
I also have a 32inch LED TV that uses HDMI. I purchased the hdmi wire for the phone. Along I purchased the vga to hdmi converter. I connected everything. Plugged the charger at the hdmi hub. Played movie on my phone, NO respond by the projecto. Doesn't show a thing. But. If hdmi to led tv ok. No problem. How to settle to the projector issue? |

QUOTE(joytest @ Feb 17 2013, 03:45 AM) HDMI has got DRM on it, and it is a digital signal. VGA is an analog signal. Bro. What do you reckon? There are other ports behind the projector. Ex: 5v USB. S video. I think the note 2 cant use it right? What has happened is that the HDMI output may have HDCP which does not allow analog conversion. What I havr purchased is just wasted? Please advice how to enjoy note 2 on my projector. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 17 2013, 05:37 PM) when u put your memory card the camera will ask you whether you want store captured image on your card i suggest u disable that. Hi.My card as well when used for 1 month no problem suddenly 1 month later spoiled. Card reader cant read so all my data got lost. My worry is I take alot pictures and store a lot pictures online. If I save captured image on phone memory. I wont have much since I dedicate the phone memory for apps. The memory card is for media such as video audio etc. I wont want to root my hp and make the memory card as primary. How to detect the memory card failure? What are the symptoms before happening. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Feb 18 2013, 11:19 AM) not wanting to root phone... then external memory is the only way since u want internal memory for other use. Burst mode is the best photo right ? but with external memory, then some functions like burst mode, etc won't work. if you worry about external memory card failing... there's the free 50Gb dropbox that comes with our Note 2. You still can choose the option but it will store this on phone memory. Correct me if I am wrong. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 18 2013, 05:22 PM) Yes, you are right. If you make the memory card as your default storage for your camera, then best photo will be stored on phone memory. Thank you very much. my phone not rooted...yet. ahaha. However, if you swap your internal and external memory for everything. (Your memory card is your main memory) Then best photo will not work anymore. Hope I don't confuse you. Thanks again. |

I would say. Buying the note 2 has change my daily task. I always forget things. My note 2 ia my personal diary now. I spend a lot time utilizing it. Recording meeting notes. Capture a picture and circle the problem and it allows better communication. The camera helps bit still can be improved. Battery life varies, some people are so concern and boasting on their ability to achieve days. What for? I bought this phone to enjoy and not to spend time worrying about it. The spen is just remarkable. Calender is great also. Contact should use a better way of organizing. Yes the casing can be improved with time. Perhaps ditch aluminium and go for light weight but durable ceramic ? I prefer to enjoy the features rather than worry of its performance. Minor lags I accept. Like when u press the contatcs button, its a 1 or 2 sec delay. I was so scared to use a big phone. And now? I could not live without it. Haha. The irony. I did 2 months of research on iPhone5 vs note 2. I would say....didnt regret it.

QUOTE(tot31 @ Feb 19 2013, 01:05 AM) So what is wrong to achieve the longest battery life in hours or days. It all depends on individuals. Not all people has the same usage or desire on using a phone. I bought Note 2 because of the screen size and I got it really cheap RM999 ( the price that I could not resist ). Most importantly for me is the the Samsung firmware support. Since S2 to Note 1, the support on their firmware is better the other phone that I have been using. I notice you tend to be over protective. I didnt say its wrong to be so concerned about battery life. So. how about you take a drink and relax ? Peace out |

QUOTE(tot31 @ Feb 19 2013, 09:33 PM) I am relax, that is why I did not bash you. I am just saying there is nothing wrong for having a better battery life but the way you have posted is kind of ..... oh well just forget about it and move on. Seriously bro. your post can smell sarcastic all over it. anyway what I have been contributed has been recognized and I am honorably been compensated and happy with. But its ok, i learn to forgive and forget. move on. i cant control other people's behaviors and rudeness. Why are newbies scared and just be a reader instead of joining in the discussion ? You should know it well enough. Cheers. |
