I signed up with umobile and tied up for 24 months so I can purchase a Blackberry for a cheaper price (only 300-400 cheaper). Regretted ever since, still another 10 months to go before i can port back to Maxis. Ditched the BB after 2 months and went for other phone

I don't like UMobile at all. Moreover, I was foolish to commit myself to a 2 years contract. I have no complains with the Blackberry, in fact I liked the fact that it is handy. I was itching to switch over to other platforms, that is why I switched. I've been using my number for 5 years now, Maxis to UMobile, soon back to Maxis when the contract is over. You can always sell the phone but keep your existing plan anyway
